Seriously? Well. I’ve wasted my time *sigh*
Thanks so much for letting me know.

It was fixed in the last issue of the Black Canary solo to make it Dinah Laurel Lance
Thank goodness. How did they change it?
For that ask meme thingy do Cass Cain
How I feel about this character: Cassandra Cain is easily one of my favorite characters. Ever. No, really! Any sort of fiction, any context, Cass is a character who I adore. I look up to Cass as a character so much it’s kind of been a major part of my life for nearly a decade now, but especially my time on tumblr for the past five years. She’s inspirational, she feels real, and she has been one of the influences over the years as I’ve built my own self-identity and morality. She reminds me of the importance of second chances for everyone.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: I ship Cass fairly selectively, but the mains are Brenda Miller, Kon-El, and more recently Harper Row.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Stephanie Brown. But I have to make a huge addition here for Tim Drake because omg their relationship is just precious and important.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t even know anymore. I feel so disconnected from the “at large” DCU fandom world that I don’t even know how to gauge my opinions as popular or unpopular. I guess one notable opinion is that I don’t think her codenames have been very good since they took Batgirl from her. I like Black Bat in comparison to the current “Orphan” title (which, again, I don’t feel like arguing about because I’m waiting on Eternal vol. 2, so I’m talking the general blandness of the codename), but I’ve honestly not liked Black Bat that much either and always felt it came off as kind of lazy. Which, of course, is easy to say when you’re not the one trying to come up with solutions, but eh.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: It’ll never happen so I won’t bother.
My OTP: Cassandra Cain x Brenda Miller
My OT3: Don’t have one! I guess the closest is Cassandra Cain x Stephanie Brown x Harper Row. But honestly the canon relationships here give me pause on declaring that and it’s just fanon that fuels that.
I have that same problem with Power Man and Iron Fist because Jess does only show up to berate him but I don't have a problem with the no swearing thing because that's just a universal thing people say especially when they have kids y'know.
I get that, but I personally feel that the positions would have been reversed in that situation -- that it would have been Luke saying “Jess, I love you and your potty mouth, but you’ve got to stop swearing around the kid” and Jess being like “excuse you I am a grown-ass adult I can control my fucking language around our child” and Luke being like “really because today she called the sitter a fuckface shitburger” and Jess being like “....FUCK.”
Also, in the latest issue (in which Jess shows up to yell at Luke again) she’s just cursing up a storm while Danielle is right within earshot, and afterwards Danny asks Luke why it’s apparently okay for Jess to swear in front of the kid, to which Luke replies that Jess is the boss so she can do whatever she wants.
And I’m not sure if it’s intended to present Jess as a badass who Luke can’t get anything past, or whether it’s just another “haha Luke is so whipped, he has to say fiddle-faddle and drive the tiny car and wear what his wife tells him to” gag? But it comes across as more of the latter, with a side of “wow what a hypocritical asshole”.
And Jessica Jones deserves better than that.
You're reading one of my favourite comics ever written about Superman and Shazam ,I hope you enjoyed it 😊😊😊
I absolutely loved it, and I wasn’t surprised when I saw that Winick wrote it. :) I’d been meaning to read it for over a year now so I’m glad that I finally got around to it. Well worth the wait!
stewthebookworm replied to your post “what do you think of barbara gordon/batgirl post-flashpoint?”
Do you know the real kicker Ostrander said he didn't want anyone but Barbara to have the mantle of Oracle except Barbara and the Birds of Prey rebirth villain is called Oracle (name stolen from Babs apparently)it sucks to be a disabled comics fan.
That...makes the situation even more frustrating, wow. I’m sorry DC is taking representation away from you like that, and spitting in the face of it to boot...
