Yeah, apparently writer Ken Penders just blames the artist for making Sonic look like he was enjoying the kiss, but why write it in the first place? Was it to tease the audience that they might get together? Why was the comic such a goddamn mess back then?

Ohh, lordy. Artist Al Bigley still draws every single character (including Snively) with tall, slim human proportions. I dunno, his contribution to this issue just makes it even worse.

I mean, look at this shit. It looks like people dressed up as Sonic characters.

Bunnie is being absorbed. This is terrifying and yet really...how do I describe it? I don't know how I feel about seeing a badass character reduced to a damsel in distress. Its also like torture porn, and I don't like it.

Okay, everything here is just wrong. Bunnie's being dissected/absorbed/taken advantage of, ADAM (Robotnik's virus minion) materialises as a slimy Eggman logo with the word "EGG" written on it for good measure, and Sonic looks worse in every panel he's in. If I were to show anyone what the essence of the comics were like being Ian Flynn came on-board and made it an actual comic about Sonic the Hedgehog, I would show them this page.

Also Al took Gray's ‘shadow-obscured eye’ art literally, so Bunnie is literally drawn with no left eye here. Yeah.

Also Snively's here, apparently. What was he doing through the whole year Sonic was gone following his leaving of the Eggman Empire? And why does he look so lean and tall??
