The action and character interactions between Sonic and Amy while they fight Mecha Sally makes me super happy

With Sally, Antoine and Bunnie nowhere to be found, and the Freedom Fighters unofficially disbanded, Sonic is just wallowing in self-pity, with Scourge’s old quote taunting him that all of this can turn him into an evil asshole if he lets it happen.

Eh, its better than Penders making Sonic play a sad guitar song about wanting Sally while he was already with Fiona...

The remaining Freedom Fighters have decided to split into fractions to help deal with Eggman and to also protect New Mobotropolis. Also its nice to finally, finally see the Council of Acorn agree on something that actually helps the heroes, instead of exist as a living strawman point.

Rotor looks so scruffy. xD I think its due to wearing his backwards cap again. Good to have ol’ Rote back with the Freedom Fighters.

Also Tails cannot even call Rosemary his mother anymore...which may be due to the Sega mandates, but still...damn, how bad must it be between him and his parents in the Council of Acorn.

Its dialogue like this that makes me wish Sonic Forces has this level of witty, neat writing.

I mean, its still kind of the same level of cheese, but Sonic’s “You keep pushing me, doc! I’ll push right back!” is really in-character for his attitude and its perfect.
