A/N: this poured out of me after seeing the promo trailers. no, I'm not sorry in the slightest
It's bright as Sylus moves closer.
Brighter than usual, than perhaps he'd prefer, but you read his eagerness in his lines all the same.
Around you, you see the WATERWATERWATER rippling gently, a beautiful blue against a pure white background.
You find it charming, the contrast. White light is the culmination of all colours, and each blank stretch feels like possibility.
You see that possibility, echoed there on his beloved face. Usually, it's difficult to parse but, for once, his expression is perfectly legible. Two dots, above a winsome curve.

You find yourself smiling back with the same expression.
It's been so long since that first night, that first time. When you were both eager and trembling, anxious and rendered glorious in the third-dimension. You still remember the brush of his hand. The way the light graced his cheek like the last lingering remnants of divinity on his skin before he made you his idol, before he worshipped at your body.
It's different now: how far you've come. Your relationship has evolved so much.
His home is now your home, as you move through darkness as you do light.
Your desire, however, is the same.
You sit on the blacked out slab.
Legs parted. Angle? Acute.
A perfect \/ for him to slot between, to ghost those strong, stick arms along your thighs.
"Are you ready for it, kitten?" Sylus croons.
He's still wearing that mysterious smile.

The WATERWATERWATER ripples again.
"Are you?" you tease back.
Usually, you like to make a game of it, but you're just as eager as him, tonight.
