Splurged on these stickybones guys, they probably won't improve the quality of my art but you know what, who cares? They're cool to have.

i never see any artists talk about stickybones. more of you need to know about stickybones. i'm not one to Advertise a Product but i genuinely love this thing it's the best designed posing mannequin i have ever seen. i never have to search endless stock photos for pose refs anymore this thing can do whatever pose i want. it can sit crosslegged. it can cross its arms. it has magnets in the hands and feet so it can do action poses balanced on one foot/hand. it can sit on its heels and prostrate with its forehead to the ground and fully fold up into a fetal position. come on
i guess it's probably a more intermediate tool since you still need to have an understanding of anatomy to draw an actual human in these poses, especially with different body types. but if your anatomy is decent and you just suck at drawing poses from imagination like i do it's perfect.
they are expensive but worth it imo. customer service is good too. the hip joints on mine were getting a little loose after a couple years, which they say shouldn't happen, but it did and when i emailed asking for recommendations on how to remedy it they immediately sent me replacement parts for free
No art today, but I want to show some Stickybones pics I've taken today. I ordered it two weeks ago and I love it. Might use it for posing references or even stop motion animation.
A friend gave me a sticky bones dude. I haven’t animated with him yet, but I use him for art reference constantly. Thanks, Dave.
Does anyone use stickybones? Are they worth the money?
i was going through my folder with stickybones ref pics and found this one that'd id forgotten about that must have been for a silverflint pic i never ended up making because... leg
