------
It was simple to be a simple cross country meet and it ended up in something so terrifying that had the entire group of teens scared and wanting nothing than to make it out of that place alive and altogether. When the Beacon County School bus had pulled into the motel parking lot, it gave most of them a strange feeling. They had gotten into the motel, each sharing a room with a friend, and waiting for the meet but little did they know that they were going to meet with more than they had expected.
------
Lydia was the first to notice that there was something wrong in the motel and while each of the werewolves were having some kind of strange experiences. She went on a mission to find out the truth and was soon pulling Stiles and Allison in her discovery too.
From there on, they went on to save Ethan, Boyd, Isaac and Scott. It had pained Stiles to talk his best friend out of the pool of gasoline but his friendship was enough to save Scott. Lydia had jumped forward pushing Scott out of the fire and when the two got to the ground, they realized that Stiles hadn’t moved at all.
As he stood up, Scott noticed his friend not moving an inch, lost in some kind of trance.
------
“Oh no! Stiles, get out of there. Stiles” Scott shouted.
“It happened only to the werewolves. I don’t understand why Stiles…?” Lydia trailed off.
“Now’s not the time, Lydia. We should focus on getting Stiles out before the fuel explodes.” Allison said, in a panicked voice.
“I know what to do, girls. Move” Scott said.
Allison and Lydia reluctantly moved back as Scott stepped forward.
“Stiles, what are you doing buddy?” Scott asked.
“I don’t deserve to live, Scott. I’m nothing but a burden. My mom… I have to go to her… She needs me… She is calling for me…” Stiles mumbled between angry tears.
“Don’t do this Stiles. Don’t you dare do this! Think about your dad. Think about your friends. Think about me buddy. If you go down, I’m going down as well.” Scott said.
The two girls had tears streaming down their faces as they watched Scott move forward while the explosion was merely seconds away.
“You’re not a burden buddy. You’re my best friend. You can’t leave me. I won’t let you. We’ve been together since childhood Stiles. If you want to die, I’m dying with you” Scott said as he reached for Stiles’s hand.
“Scott” Lydia merely had the time to shout as Scott grabbed Stiles by the shoulders and flung them to the ground just in time for the fuel to explode.
As Stiles regained his senses, he looked up with teary eyes at his best friend who smiled and pulled him in a tight hug.
------
The group fell asleep on their bus, too tired and too emotionally spent to dare spend another night in the motel. As he closed his eyes, Scott looked at Stiles for a while. Their werewolves’ senses had them thinking of suicide but what about Stiles? Was Stiles’ own emotions been so high that this incident was enough for him to contemplate suicide? Whatever it was, Scott was going to keep an eye on his best friend. After all, he couldn’t afford to lose him.

Prompt - Can you do a teen wolf shot of Stiles sick and Scott takes care of him, please. Birthday January 15th birthday, please.
------
Usually, Stiles was the one who took care of everything and everyone. He always knew who needed what. He knew who was going to be sick and he was always there for those who fell sick. But when he fell sick, the boy tended to stay away from everyone. He who was always there when someone was injured, upset or sick, wouldn’t even tell someone that he wasn’t feeling well. But thankfully, he had friends who were always looking out for him, especially Scott.
------
Stiles had woken up with a heavy head in the morning and it didn’t take long for him to realize that he was running a fever. His father had taken one glance at him and shook his head, suggesting the boy to stay home itself. But the man himself wouldn’t be able to stay home and watch over Stiles, unfortunately. And if that didn’t make the boy slightly sad. He had the options to call either of his friends but he didn’t want to bother them. Or maybe he was slightly insecure if his friends would even want to be by his side when he was sick.
------
Scott was the first to notice Stiles’s absence at school. He texted the boy a few times and got even more worried when the latter didn’t reply to any of his texts. It left Scott with only one option and it was to go see the boy himself after school.
As the bell rang, Scott bumped into an equally worried Liam.
“Where’s Stiles?” Liam asked.
“He didn’t come to school, buddy. I’ll go check on him.” Scott said.
“Oh God, did he run into trouble?” Liam gasped, earning a raised eyebrow from Scott who was quick to reassure the boys.
“I’m sure he is fine. He probably slept through his alarm. I’ll go see him myself” Scott said, not wanting to scare the boy.
He hurried out of school before Liam could even suggest accompanying him because if Stiles was in trouble then Scott had to be there as fast as he could and Stiles wouldn’t want the puppy to get in trouble too.
------
As soon as Scott was through the door, he could feel the air of sickness in the house. He walked to Stiles’s room, sighing when he caught a glimpse at the boy’s pale face.
“You sick?” Scott asked.
“Damn it! Couldn’t you knock like a normal person?” Stiles huffed, heart racing at the sudden intrusion in his room.
“I could… If only you replied to my texts. I thought you got in trouble or something” Scott explained as he checked Stiles’s forehead with his palm.
Scott nodded absentmindedly, reaching for his phone, ignoring Stiles staring at him.
“Yeah, mom? Stiles’s got a fever. Hmm… Runny nose as well… The flu? Didn’t he get a flu shot? Oh okay… Yeah, I think he has. I’m gonna look for it. Yeah, I’ll make sure he stays in bed. Yeah, I’ll keep you informed mom!” Scott mumbled.
“Uh! What are you looking for?” Stiles asked.
“Stay put” Scott warned Stiles when he saw the boy getting down the bed.
“Woof” Stiles barked, earning a chuckle from Scott as he wandered in Stiles’s house, looking for something.
------
He had somehow fallen asleep when Scott left and was woken up a few minutes later as Scott held some pills and a glass of water to his lips. The boy slowly helped Stiles take the meds before lowering him to bed.
“Get some sleep buddy! I got you” Scott reassured the boy.
“Thought you’d all be too busy… Didn’t wanna disturb anyone…” Stiles mumbled, drowsily.
“You thought wrong, man. We’ll always be there for you. I got you, buddy, always!” Scott promised.
Stiles managed a smile that Scott mirrored.
Scott grabbed a chair, settling in next to Stiles to watch over the boy.
------
Tomorrow, he’ll scold Stiles for not letting him know that he was sick. Tomorrow, he’ll shout at the boy for not taking care of himself like he does for others. Tomorrow, he’ll tell him how the others were worried about him. But for now, he settled in watching over his best friend. Like always!
Prompt - Hey! Can you please do a Teen Wolf one? One where Stiles feels left out. The pack hates him or so Stiles thinks. Stiles thinks he’s useless and has no meaning to the pack. Can you do a mix of old characters and new ones? Thanks. My birthday is September 18th!
------
If Stiles was given a choice, he’d rather stay far and far away from the supernatural. But he had no say in whatever happened in his life. Was it because of Stiles that he got dragged in this mess? Or was it because of Derek that he was staying? Whatever the reason was, Stiles had slowly convinced himself that he was living for the pack. Stiles loved the pack but there were times when Stiles had to ask himself if he even mattered to the pack. The pack meant so much to Stiles but did he mean anything to the pack?
------
The pack life had actually become Stiles’s routine. He’d come from school and go help the pack. He’d been there to help Scott out of trouble. He was there whenever Derek’s anger needed to be controlled. He was there to help Lydia, Erika and Boyd. He was there whenever Isaac’s past came troubling him. He was there to help the little Liam not be overwhelmed.
But when Stiles needed help, none of them were really there. None of them even had an idea about what was going on with Stiles. To be fair, even Stiles couldn’t describe what had happened to him.
All he knew was that he was feeling very alone. He felt kind of left out.
You know that empty feeling when you just get by your day like every day but it doesn’t quite feel right? That’s exactly how Stiles was feeling!
------
It all started with that same routine of Stiles getting to the loft after school. He’d walk through the house, pick up the discarded clothes around, stick them in the wash, get dinner started, watch the pack get together for training or to discuss something and go back home. And it all made him feel strange for some reason.
If the pack was training then Stiles definitely had no business being among them. The human was too fragile for them.
If the pack was discussing strategies then Stiles’s suggestion was not valued at all. He was no supernatural being so why his input wouldn’t be needed.
If the pack was out to fight then the mere mortal had nothing to do with them. He was too vulnerable and would attract trouble only.
The pack never told him out loud but Stiles didn’t need them to tell him. He was already feeling like an outcast in the pack.
------
If the pack didn’t need him then he didn’t need them as well. Hence, Stiles did only thing he could think of, he stopped going to the pack. He’d go to school and come back home, to his home. At first, he thought the pack wouldn’t even notice. Stiles’s dad was the first to notice that something was wrong.
“You don’t hang out with your friends anymore?” he had asked his son one afternoon.
“Isn’t it better now? I get to spend some more time with you?” Stiles said, instead.
“Is it? I have to go to work” Stiles’s father said.
Stiles smiled, nodding to the man and welcoming the loneliness again.
------
Liam was the first to approach Stiles.
“Where were you? Why aren’t you coming home?” Liam asked.
“Home? I have my home, Liam” Stiles said.
“Yeah, I mean… The loft?” Liam trailed off.
Stiles wanted to shout at the boy and ask him why does he care but he just couldn’t bring himself to. Instead he ruffled the boy’s hair and said, “If you need help, come see me during lunch.”
Scott stood not too far from them, gauging his best friend’s words.
------
During the next few days, Erica, Boyd, Lydia had all approached him, asking why he wasn’t coming to the lost. So, apparently they noticed his absence but did they miss him? Stiles wasn’t sure until he came home to an absolutely drenched puppy.
“Isaac… What happened to you kiddo?” Stiles asked, dragging the boy inside and hurrying to dry him off. “Scott hurt you in training? Derek shouted at you?” Stiles pressed the boy for answers.
“Why aren’t you coming back?” Isaac asked.
“Because he feels we don’t need him” Scott said as he walked through the door.
“But we do need you” Isaac said, head tilting to the side in confusion similar to a puppy.
“No you don’t need me” Stiles argued, the anger returning to surface.
“Of course, we do you, idiot” Scott retorted back.
“When did you need me? When you trained outside while I cooked food for you all? When did you need me? When you went to fight against something while I washed your clothes? When did you ever need me?” Stiles shouted.
The guilty look that Scott shared with Isaac had Stiles shaking his head.
------
“Did we make you feel left out?” Isaac asked.
“You’re an idiot! Did you feel left out whenever Isaac needed you? Did you feel left out whenever Liam needed help to control his anger? Did you feel left out whenever Erica, Boyd, Lydia, Scott or I needed you?” Derek asked, walking in Stiles’s house.
Stiles was startled by Derek’s presence but then he said, “Yeah, you all needed me whenever you wanted. And when you don’t, you wouldn’t even care about whether I’m there or not.”
“It’s not true Stiles. We weren’t involving you because it was dangerous and you are just…” Scott trailed off.
“Just a human” Stiles concluded.
“We shouldn’t have left you out but when we say it’s dangerous… You have to back off” Derek growled.
Stiles looked up at Derek, hiding his smirk.
------
The next day, he went back to the loft. Liam had thrown himself in Stiles’s arms as soon as he saw the boy.
“You’re back?” Liam asked.
Stiles chuckled, nodding.
Scott called the pack for training and Stiles got back to work.
He picked up Erica’s skirt from the floor, dumped it in to wash. He started dinner and smiled to himself as he went to help Boyd break a fight between Lydia and Scott.
He mouthed at Liam to keep breathing when Lydia pushed Scott into him.
He glared at Derek when the man raised his voice Isaac, patting the boy on the shoulder when the boy flinched at Derek’s tone.
He smiled at Derek when the man shoved him to the kitchen with a smirk on his face
This time he didn’t feel alone.
------
Maybe that was the pack dynamics! And Stiles just had to find his role in the pack. But at the end of the day it was all worth it. For someone who suffered from loneliness his whole life, having the pack around was more than enough. He knew they’d forget the human again but then they’d come fetch him again. But he just didn’t know his role in the pack though he did know that he was important to the pack.
