The only reason Stiles was in this room right now was the bet he had lost against Scott. It had been a stupid idea — either he would ask Lydia out on a date, who also happened to be the girl he had been in love with for a long time now, or he had to sign up for a social experiment someone from some fancy university had developed so he would 'kiss a girl finally', to quote his best friend. A list had been hung out in one of the school corridors and since he hadn’t been successful winning the bet, he had been forced to write down his name on that list.
“God, this is so embarrassing,” he mumbled when — at the same time — the door was opened slowly.
It was a brunette girl with fair skin and she was pretty. That much he could say while taking a quick look at her without appearing like he would check her out.
“Hey, I’m Stiles,” he replied, seeing the nervousness mirrored in the girl’s movements. When she suggested to just not do this, he shortly debated with himself.
No. He would go through with it. He wouldn’t just run away like a child.
“So, why did you sign up for this in the first place?” He asked her, taking a few shy steps in her direction. He knew there were cameras all over the place, but he wouldn’t back off now — and making conversation before finally kissing each other would ease the tension, maybe.
Allison had to admit, this oddly reassured her—that he was just as nervous as she was, because if not, then she’d probably seem like an inexperienced teenage girl. Her lips curved upwards in a smile when he introduced himself. She had to admit, he really wasn’t all that bad to look at, which was probably a shallow thought considering she would have backed out if he seemed like a druggie or some drunk hobo, but she was sure he would have thought the same if she came in as a hobo, right?
“Under any other circumstances, it’d be nice to meet you, —but I can already tell this might be awkward.”
Which wasn’t a lie. What if they hated the kiss in the end? Or worse, what if they liked it? She didn’t know who he was, and he didn’t know who she was. For all she knew, he could have some over-jealous girlfriend just waiting to rip her throat out if she made it clear that she liked it, but then she didn’t want to offend him in anyway, so again, this would turn out to be awkward.
She was in a way, glad to see that he wanted to go through with this—because he hadn’t backed out, and she wasn’t offended. Nervous yes—but less than she was before. He seemed like a nice guy, honestly speaking, so it couldn’t be that bad right?
“I can honestly say I have no idea. I guess, I just sort of wanted to piss off the parents, become a bit rebellious. Send them this message that if we keep moving, then i’ll just act out.”
As stupid as that reasoning was, it was the truth. “How about yourself?” she asks as she watches him take a few steps closer. Allison doesn’t pull away, or stops him, although, the only thing she could do was just stand there.
omg I just realized i don't know how to use the new version of skype.
