『still dark』：メモ

監督は高橋雄祐という知らない人。prime videoで観た。たった40分の映画だけど、すごく好かった。

"料理人を志す盲目の青年ユウキは、とあるレストランのナポリタンに心を奪われる。見習いとして働き始めたユウキは先輩アルバイトのケンタや料理長と心を通わせながら夢と向き合う。" (prime videoの説明文)

（以下ネタバレありますよ）

そう。盲目で料理人修行…って、何？　無理でしょ、と。だから、展開も結末もまったく読めなくて、どうするんだろうと思っていたら、本当にそのままで、面食らった。が、観続けていると、実は、そのまま（＝料理人志望の若者がたまたま盲目なだけですけど、なにか？という態度）だからこそイイのだ、と教えられる。で、主人公が盲目であることは、まあ、一つの個性みたいに思えてくる。で、結局、映画の殆どを占める、24歳頃の「あの感じ」「あの匂い」の描写の方に、「身に覚え」がある人は全員「共鳴」して、「これは私にしか分からないんじゃないかなあ」系の感動を覚えてしまう。というカラクリに、してヤラれる（絶賛してます）。

あと、ケンタと料理長が、あんな見た目と雰囲気だけど、イイんだよなあ。

もうひとつ、最後にユウキが持っていた封筒の中身は履歴書だよね。つまり、最終テストで「パセリを乗せ忘れ」たユウキが、再チャレンジにやってきたのでしょうな。ユウキが「パセリを乗せ忘れた」ことを、ケンタも料理長もすごく残念がっていたし、ふたりともユウキが作ったナポリタンをガツガツ食ってたからね。

そう言えば、24歳くらいのときに、自分が「ここだ！」と思うところに飛び込んで、若い馬力に任せてがむしゃらに仕事を覚えていくときの「あの感じ」は、今思い返してみれば、ナルホド、真っ暗な中を手探りで進んでいく感覚に似ている。タイトルの「still dark」は、だから、主人公が「盲目」であることと、その「若さに任せて真っ暗な中を進んでいく感覚」の二重の意味を表している。のかもしれない。
