Hi everyone,
And here we are, week 6, halfway through the timeline. Good news! Not only we managed to stick to the planned timeline, but I even dare to say that we are a bit ahead with the development.
The main reason why I say this is the core mechanics. All of them are in place - running, jumping, aiming, shooting, stance changing, ladder climbing, dynamic camera, health system, arrows getting stuck in the environment or shield... Looks really good to a programmer.
The rest of the aspects are all respecting the timeline. 2D Assets, all done (examples below): platforms/tiles, animations, backgrounds, props. Not the UI, though. Hearts are in place, but there’s still a long way to go.
The plan and documentation are in place and the prototype turned out excellent. I goes without saying that the testing runs alongside the development. And finally, the work on the level design just started, but since the resources are done, it should go smoothly.
All in all, development is on point and as soon as I find a place to upload the demo I’ll post it up :D
