All my life, I've been waiting for moments to come When I catch fire, and wash over you like the sun I will fight, to fix up and get things right I can't change the world, but maybe I'll change your mind.

He finds a note. He intended to find a boy and his rock, but all he finds is a piece of paper with an apology, an explanation, and a plea. Brett looks around the room, and he turns to the corner where Frank should be. Gone.
The room is just like how it was the last time he visited, the last time they watched shows together, just so Brett wouldn’t bombard Stiles’s phone while live texting. The specboard is still there, the equations, the names, the lines and circles -- everything is there, untouched, but Stiles is nowhere to be found.
He doesn’t have all the puzzle pieces to solve this, and Stiles is not giving him an answer. He leaves the house and walks, taking the path to BHHS, then backtracking before heading to the coffee shop Stiles brought him to. He orders the same drink as Stiles did that day, and he keeps walking. Something about reenacting that day soothes him.
He moves on, and soon he finds himself at the park. He has no appetite for a hot dog, but he buys two anyways. Sitting by the table alone, he rereads the note several times, and he can’t get over the last line. His fingers itches to reply, but he reminds himself that Stiles needs time. ( At least a day or two. )
That is why the text is only sent 36 hours after the discovery of the note.
[text: stiles]: i don’t hate you at all, stiles.
“Please don’t hate me.”

@stillvoiid.
"You should go spend some time with Scott. You two haven't been hanging out much lately. Everything okay?"
be careful what you wish for.

“Silvester,” the taller boy mumbles, mostly to himself. “It sounds much more punchy than New Year’s Eve, somehow.” Even though they both only have three syllables. He turns to look at Stiles, their hands linked, mostly for the sake of convenience. He doesn’t want to be separated by the crowd.
Usually, he would be with his Devenford crowd, friends that will drag him to a New Year’s party with alcohol and everything. This year, he decides he wants to go outside. Outdoors, to countdown under the night sky at the park. He smiles and tugs at Stiles’s hand.
“Come on, let’s find a better spot.”
