Stillwater BLM. An interpretive trail of petroglyphs at one end and of geology (mostly) at the other.

Back to US-50, I completed the circle through Nevada with one last little hike joining a pair of interpretive trails outside Fallon. The first interpretive trail showcases the 8000 year old petroglyphs of the area. The second showcases the geology including the tufa with its human connections.

Garfield Hills High Point

Stillwater BLM. Hiking to the P2k high point of the so-called hills on a day of gorgeous clouds that still leave some long views.

A journey to the high point of the Garfield Hills. It's a 2000 foot prominence peak, so "hills" seems a bit of a misnomer.
