Casper Movie - 1995
This Canon includes Kat Harvey, Dr. Harvey, Amelia Harvey, Carrigan Crittenden, Dibs, Casper McFadden, J.T. McFadden, Stinkie, Stretch, Fatso, Amber, and Vic. (Also the Ghostbusters.) This is the original/first released movie. In this canon when people die they become a ghost at the exact age that they died. I.E. Casper = 12. Trio = Adults, Carrigan = Her adult age. Dr. Harvey = His Adult Age.
Carrigan and Dibs - In this canon Carrigan inherits Whipstaff Manor in Maine after her father passes away. She wants nothing to do with it until she finds out it might be hiding some treasure so her and her partner Dibs head there. Met with resistance by The Ghostly Trio she hires Dr. Harvey to get rid of them and Casper after seeing a new segment about him and his daughter Kat. Carrigan finds out the treasure is The Lazarus which can bring people back to life and decides she wants it so much she's willing to die for it. She gets turned into a ghost trying to steal it and ends up getting crossed over by a trick that Casper and Kat pull on her.
Dr. Harvey - He's a psychiatrist and therapist who apparently went to John Hopkins University. At some point in his and his daughter Kat's life his wife Amelia passed away. Unable to accept her being gone he deemed her to have unfinished business and started to search the whole country to try and find her ghost. Eventually he was hired by Carrigan, became friends with the Ghostly Trio at Whipstaff and eventually meets his wife's spirit who has crossed over giving him closure. He continues to be friends with the Trio and doing therapy.
Kat Harvey - After losing her mom she's dragged all over the country by her father who is trying to find her moms spirit/ghost. She doesn't believe in any of it herself until she meets Casper and befriends him. Which is great because all she's wanted is to make a friend after the non-stop moving and to settle down somewhere. She helps Casper in regaining his memories of his past, childhood, family and even The Lazarus machine which can bring ghosts back to life! This helps Dr. Harvey to return to being alive and human later on so Kat isn't an orphan and to show how much Casper truly cares about her.
Casper McFadden - A 12 year old boy who died of Pneumonia and became a ghost that lives in his home with his 3 uncles The Ghostly Trio. He's been taking care of Whipstaff and looking for a friend for roughly 100-112 years. He finds this friendship in Kat Harvey as well as he seems to have a small crush on her. He ultimately remembers his past thanks to her and recalls the day he went sledding and got his cold and ultimately passed away. We also find out that at some point Casper lost his mother as well as his father was declared legally insane while trying to bring him back with The Lazarus. He returns to life dressed up as a pirate briefly to have a dance with Kat and show her that he's always there if she needs him. He has a playroom in the attic with a hand print and a train named hootie.
The Ghostly Trio - They are canonly related to Casper in this telling of the movie. In the attic scene when Casper is sitting on his sled there is a picture of the Trio in their human forms. This was unfortunately a deleted scene. So we only have glimpses of it in a storybook and if you pause the movie. Joe Nipote also has a photo of himself, Brad Garrett (Fatso) and Joe Alaskey (Stinkie) dressed up in those outfits for the photo. This means they are all blood related. They all like to drink and tend to push Casper around as a house maid and love being rude and obnoxious most likely to scare off anyone who would dare try and stay there. They LOVE scaring. They also eventually grow a fondness for Dr. Harvey becoming friends with him over time. They intended to kill him at one point just so he could join them in the afterlife but just didn't have the heart to do it in the end because they liked him too much.
J.T. McFadden - An amazing Inventor for his time he built Whipstaff manor with a love for pirates! (A Whipstaff is a steering device used on European sailing ships) So much that he and his son would play pirates everyday! Even having a hidden treasure in a vault! He created The Lazarus machine and mixture so that he could bring his son Casper back to life after his son passed away. Unfortunately others found out and he was deemed legally insane and put away before he could use it on his son and bring him back.
There are multiple kids books, storybooks and even a few video games based directly off of this movie including one called The Interactive Adventure! It was a PC game. There's some random lore drops in these that could be used to fuel people's stories! I know it fueled mine with the original game!
They literally had Farmer Stinkie and there have been a few others references to it. This is why I make Stinkie be a farmer in his past life/human life.
