I just read your story about the duke and the maid, and I totally fell in love! That’s such an amazing story! Have you by any chance written more in that verse? 😃
Hi @stitchedopen, thank you so much!
I haven’t written anything more about the duke and the maid, or even another story set in the same world, and I don’t often write in second person like that, but you can check out some of my other bits of writing on Tumblr here (though I haven’t updated it in a while…I should get on that).
If you enjoyed the duke and the maid story, you might be interested in one of my current WIPs. I’m not really good about keeping all you lovelies updated on my progress with such stories, but my current WIPs are:
Eloise (it’s slow going, I’m afraid, but I’m still working on it, I promise!)
An urban supernatural story about a young woman in university and the child ghost inhabiting her home
Myrna’s lost her parents and been driven from her home, but she’s strong and resourceful, and coming into a power she doesn’t fully understand. Darren is the local lord, but in a world that frowns on magic, he has a dangerous secret. Surrounded by enemies, blackmailers, and superstitious neighbours, Myrna and Darren find that a friend can make things so much easier…and so much more complicated…
Cal is the third child of a minor noble who makes his living as a healer. He doesn’t much care for “city nobles,” but when a mysterious woman needs him to marry her so she can claim her inheritance, he gets thrown into the political deep end. Though angry at her half-truths and manipulation, he can’t deny there are sparks flying. Only, with the beginning of a war, there’s more than his pride, or even his happiness, at stake here…
When Leora was a young girl, an accident killed her mother and damaged her spine. Her father joined the Travellers –a guild of travelling merchants– and became a peddler of false hope and snake-oil cures. Though it’s (almost) the only life she’s known, Leora longs to set out on her own and discover the world for herself. An encounter with a Fae turns into an offer that will give her the ability to follow her dreams, but could mean the loss of everything important to her if she can’t complete the task the Fae sets her…
Not sure if any of those’ll scratch the same kind of itch as the duke and maid story did, but they’re there if you want :)
(And now I want to go work on all of them, simultaneously, ahhhhh!)
