Note: when sewing a different fabric to the inside/backside of faux fur, I stitch it entirely from the back so as to not have to deal with the faux fur stuff pulling through the needle holes and catching on my thread.
Also, I almost always use a backstitch on faux fur since most faux fur I've ever used tends to stretch and a backstitch can make a nice straight line while also stretching with the fabric.
