On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. More than 6,000 ships and 12,000 aircrafts supported the D-Day invasion, and by day's end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. Believe it or not this St Jean beach, Nikki Beach, and Eden Rock...from afar you can’t see the devastation but up close and personal, it’s obvious St Barths took a huge hit from Hurricane Irma. It’s still amazing how much they have done to clean up the island.
