You looked over at him lovingly and smiled. Your face was about 3 inches from his. From where you sat next to him, one of your legs crossed over one of his, your right arm behind him, and your fingers in your own short hair, you could see the golden flecks in his caramel colored eyes. 

He smiled back at you. His smile was warm, and melted you like chocolate in the pocket of a four year old in July. As the two of you got closer, your view of his brown pools of light were obscured by long dark eyelashes, as both of your eyes started to close. 

Your lips met in a soft dance, brushing and pressing up against each other. Your left arm wrapped around his waist, and your right hand moved to cradle the back of his head as the kiss grew faster and deeper. You straddled him. His arms secured themselves, one around your waist, and one diagonally across your upper back.

He let out a low moan as you moved your fingers through his soft brown hair. You pulled him further into your chest. It had been too long since you were able to touch like this, since you were able to touch at all. You pushed him backwards with your body so he was laying back on the couch, with you hovering over him. He tasted like sunshine. He felt like home. His arm moved to bring you closer at your waist. The two of you existed in your own world now, one impervious to time. Because of this, it should have been no surprise when your phone started ringing. You were late. You had to be home. You bid goodbye, but you wouldn't be gone for long.
