This book landed in my life at the perfect timing, I needed that feeling of the first love, the first infatuation, the first heartbreak and to be honest I just wanted feel while reading and this was perfect. I have to be honest, at first, I was starting to get anxious with the heroine but as the chapters go by, I started to ache for her and love her and understand how selfless she truly was. I felt in love with this book, and I can’t even remember if I ever felt something else but love for this story. Arrow Carlisle is the jackass hero you come love because he’s broken, he’s blind by his own goals, ones he doesn’t even know he doesn’t want but the drive to be the best is what landed him as one of the best football players, and that stress of being perfect is what got him in so much trouble and now he has to come back to St. Mary and face his past and some realities he’s not ready for. Salem, infatuated with Arrow almost all her life; she knows Arrow is not for her but there’s nothing wrong with loving someone from the distance is it?? The angst, the hate, the love in this story is completely breath taking. And finally,… for the love of God people, please read the extended Epilogue!!!! That’s my secret -not so secret- tip for you.
