Sooooo little over three weeks ago my family and I went on a cruise. My mindset for the cruise was to not worry and just have a really fun time. Read and lay out in the sun, journal and hang out with God. Within the first night my brothers and I had met a group of boys from South Carolina. At first, I was in the mindset of this is a really sweet group of boys this week will be a ton of fun with them. And it was. One guy though stuck out to me. On the first night we met he came right up to me and formally shook my hand and introduced himself. I was extremely surprised. The week of the cruise carried on and we had breakfast dates and late night dancing. Not to sound like one of those girls, but everything was so magical. The week rolled to an end and I thought well this is it. But I was wrong. He asked for my number and said he wanted to pursue my heart. At first, I didn't even know what to think but then I was filled with joy. Now keep in mind in the whole cruise we spent a ton of time talking, and though it was super short things just clicked between us. Texting, face-timing, and phone calls became a normal once both back home. Still both learning about each other things between us just smoothed really easily and they still are. Tomorrow night I fly out to meet his family and stay with them for the weekend. I'm excited, yet a bit nervous. Not to mention he loves God and it shows in all his actions. But in the mean time, prepping for me coming he has texted me saying he has my favorite ice cream, has a whole day planned for hiking, wants to take a ton of pictures, and lastly hold my hand. A few weeks before I left for the cruise, more so on Thanksgiving, I had a fallout with another guy. And while sorting through things, I just simply told God ' your time, my heart, and your will.' Girls don't settle for anything less than you deserve. And as cliche as it may sound. There's some guy out there that will make you feel like queen of da world. And just a little note, it's so worth the wait. God has your best interest in mind, and on his time he will deliver them. I don't know how things will go, or what will happen. This is a completely new adventure for me. But I think it will be a grand time. I'll post pictures here and there. Shoutout to God for being so cool. And shoutout to you for reading this.
