Short King × Tall Dark and Akward
Shipping ramblings below the cut.
Initially my instincts were these two wouldn't work. Or wouldn't have much chemistry. But the more I thought about it, the more I think it could work under the right circumstances.
We know Stolas likes a short King. And that is Lucifer's whole thing. He's also ridiculous. Man could not hold his air of superior nonchalance for five minutes in front of his daughters friends.
My hc for Lucifer's type is tall dark and attractive.
Stolas' got all of that and can pull off regal grace much like Lilith. But he's an awkward dork at heart and I think Lucifer'd find that refreshing.
They're both intensely passionate about their special interests and could go on for hours.
They're both sad single dads so tons to bond over there. Or drink to.
An idea for how they might meet:
Lucifer needs help with some contracts for the Hotel or maybe help with paperwork that he's been neglecting for Decades- he's trying to get his shit together for Charlie. He laments his woes to a certain Sin who mentions he recently had a contract fiasco that this Goetia really helped him out with. And all of a sudden, Stolas is being summoned by the Big Boss himself.
They're both too stiff, formal and akward at first forcanything to really happen, but between Lucifer bending over backwards to help Charlie and the MASSIVE amount of paperwork they end up spending a lot of time together and those professional barriers quickly break down ( either naturally of because Charlie senses friendship material for her Dad and meddles).
I imagine Stolas would catch feelings 1st, but Lucifer would have to be the one to make a move.
Paimon would probably have some backhandedly supportive comment for Stolas like: " If you're going be a sissy b*tch, at least it's for the Ruler of all Hell." Or " it's not gay if it's a SIN. Any self respecting goetia would bend over for Lucifer".
Being Lucifer's main squeeze would kinda solve Stolas' divorce issues, but would probably cause a whole host of other problems they'd have to work through. The rumor mill would be Brutal, but mostly because neither of them would want the attention. The goeita would assume this is a social climbing thing on Stolas' part. They'd respect the power play & wouldn't understand that's not at ALL why Stolas and Lucifer got together. They'd also be super jealous.
If Stella still wanted to turn Octavia against Stolas, this is the angle she'd go for; "He's moving UP in the world. He thinks he's TOO GOOD for us now. He'll Leave You Behind."
