DAPHNE STARES AT THE HAND offered to her. she HESITATES, not because she doesn’t want to take it, it’s because she’s AFRAID of getting to close to someone. GOD YOU ARE GETTING AHEAD OF YOUR SELF DAPH ! it’s just one night, it’s ONLY FOR TONIGHT AND YOU ARE DRIVING YOURSELF INSANE. maybe it’s this sudden idea, a sudden RUSH, the concept of rebelling that she’s been experimenting with, oh ! yes ! this is it !

she smiles, softly, kindly. eyes soft with a glimmer of hope, hiding the conflict. SHE STOPS OVERTHINKING. pale hand reaches for hers. fingers locking themselves with delphi’s and she let’s out a breath. SUDDENLY feeling butterflies in her stomach, the GOOD kind. and the smile widens, a faint blush on her cheeks.

frustration flowed over him like an old friend , something oddly comforting in the way his muscles tightened and readied for whatever outrage he wanted to have next. eyes quickly darted away from contact with hers in the mirror, already embarrassed that she had to see him like this: sweat covered and shameful. it wouldn’t be wise to tell her to get out because that’s hardly what he wanted. but was he what she wanted anymore ?  the thought dug at the back of his head everyday. no matter how much muscle or power he possessed, robin would always be W E A K. and that is something no one could fix.   “ i can’t reach it delphi... “   hands white knuckled and gripped the counter . head hanging in resignation of his pride.  “ you shouldn’t have had to see that... usually he minds his manners with guests but i guess he couldn’t resist. --- let me at least drive you home. “
