Tumblr has been eating my goddamned messages and asks like crazy I’m about to throw a fit because I can’t believe they’ve done this ugh (also, I can actually believe they’ve done this because when does Tumblr ever work out for me?? Never, that’s when) 

Thank you for sending this! So, five things about me: 

1. Y’all probably know this already, but I’ve re-fixated on Naruto since like two weeks ago? Not to say I’m not still fixating on DC and the hellcomic that is Homestuck, but I’ve been re-watching the anime and god, honestly, I’m a soft bitch. (In this same topic: I’m a Haruno Sakura stan first and a human second)

2. I didn’t learn how to read an analog clock (is that how they’re called?? Google search says yes) until I was like???? Fifteen maybe??? O sea, okay, so, I did LEARN when I was very young but I always struggled with it and never properly learned. I still struggle with analog clocks, especially since I haven’t been wearing my wrist watch while in quarantine. 

3. Did y’all know I’m supposed to know French? Don’t quiz me on it because I’ll do badly, but in theory!!!!!! I know French (only in THEORY!) I supposedly have a B2 level and an IB certification but I don’t really know much. Madame Ceci would be disappointed of me tbh. 

4. Most of my crossovers happen because I look at two characters from different franchises and go: I like you both, I have deemed you will be friends. And then it just goes from there? It happened with DC x Marvel, it’s happening with DC x Homestuck, and it will continue to happen so as long as y’all don’t try to stop me. 

5. I’m supposed to be doing some work right now but guess who’s been ignoring that for the past two ours and a half? It’s me. I’m the irresponsible bitch. (I’m not re-signing my contract on sept. 2nd because I’m exhausted and I just want to catch a break)

3. In your opinion, what’s your best fic?

The Blood Must Flow, a Hannibal/American Gods crossover. I don’t like rereading my own stuff, but I’m so proud of this one.

17. In your opinion, what’s your most overrated fic?

I think I mentioned Marital Dispute from my Fluffy Murder Husbands series in a different ask, but it astounds me how that one has SO many views out of that series. I don't consider it one of my best ones in that series, but I’m glad people love it!

23. What’s the nicest review you’ve ever gotten?

Anytime any of my friends leave reviews for me, I cherish the fuck out of those. They’ll leave the sweetest comment. But the best comments I’ve gotten have told me I nailed Neil Gaiman’s style, which is HIGH, high praise for me.

38. Have you ever purposefully written something you know your readers would find uncomfortable/would not enjoy? If yes, why?

Oh, yes. I love Hannibal fic, but I like it to be as upsetting as possible. I remember in A Little Bird Told Me, I pulled the old switcheroo in that fic with surprise (fake) character death. I had people upset, who changed their tune when the story actually unfolded, but I’m glad some ended up liking it. I like pushing the boundaries in what I write.

46. Do you consider yourself a diverse author?

This is a really difficult question. I am not in a minority group myself, apart from being bisexual, and so I have to be conscious of what I write and make sure to put effort into creating diverse stories. I try and do a lot of research when I write something I have no understanding of. For instance, I plan to have a deaf character in an upcoming fic and I’ve been doing research so it feels as accurate as I can make it. I’m all for taking liberties with fiction and writing what you want, but as for me personally, I try to respect a culture I take inspiration from, and be willing to admit when I get something wrong. So, do I consider myself a diverse author? I don’t know if I’m the right person to answer your question.

3 - Worst dream you ever had?

Easy! The repetitive nightmare I had about a man with scalpels between his hands chasing me through a ruined city and being about to kill me when I woke up. Had that for months, always woke up just when he stabbed me, stopped sleeping for a while.

18 - Write a three sentence horror story about a gatorade bottle.

He saw the plastic glinting in the sunlight, blessed sugary goodness in the  blinding heat. Using the last of his strength he forced his legs to work, muscles screaming as he lunged forward. His hands slipped through the gatorade bottle and it shimmered out of existence, the course sand cutting into his palms as he fell forward: nothing left.

23. What is your favorite color for a balloon? 

Unicorn shaped and coloured. If this is not available then bright green.

35. One little thing that makes you smile? 

Condensation on spiderwebs - makes them look like expensive jewellery.

49. Favorite mode of transportation? 

Probably train. Walking is awesome but it’s not really a mode, so train.

So a while ago I was tagged by the wonderful @stolligaseptember​ to answer these 10 questions and then come up with 10 new ones.     1. What’s the worst household chore? Vacuuming, I think, it’s tiresome and most importantly, it scares my cats. Oh, and the sound is terribly disturbing to listen to when someone else does it.

2. Three books you think everyone should read? Oh no, this is tough! People have so different taste, the books I enjoy wouldn’t fit everyone. So I think three books I think everyone should read would be quite scientific ones about things I find important. Although I have at least one such book in mind, lets not go there…  

So, instead, here’s three books I think everyone who has a similar taste in books as I should give a go (they’re all very lovely): ”Time stops for no mouse” by Michael Hoeye, the first book in The Hermux Tantamoq Adventures about Hermux, a watchmaker mouse who becomes a detective (it’s for children, but it’s really, really lovely), ”The Hobbit” (J.R.R Tolkien) and ”Britt-Marie was here” (Fredrik Backman).  (Or, pretty much any book by Astrid Lindgren, I can’t really pick).  

3. Even if you’re a terrible baker, what’s your go-to baking choice? Well, if I’ve got plenty of time for baking it’s buns! When there’s less time, then maybe pie (summer and autumn), chocolate balls or kladdkaka (sticky chocolate cake). But mostly I just ask my sister or mother if there’s anything special they want, honestly. If I didn’t save it for special occations, cake might have been my go-to choice, because I think planning out, preparing and putting together a cake is my favourite kind of baking.

4. Any favorite candy? Not really actually, not a clear favourite at least. What I’m craving really changes from day to day, and sometimes depends on mood, weather and situation. But chocolate is almost always right.

5. What’s the first thing you do in the morning? Drink water. Or turn of my alarms if I wake up before all of them has gone off.

6. Is there a story behind your name? If not, what does your name mean? I don’t know if it counts as a story, but what I know is that my mom wanted me and my siblings to have more "international" names, rather than common swedish names. Other than that, I guess she just liked it.

7. Favorite song right now? I don’t have one right now, haven’t for quite some time. But considering the fact that pretty much the entire thing is sung, may I say the musical ”Ingvar!”? (thanks for the suggestion, SVT Play, I love it!). That’s pretty much what I’ve been listening to the past days (together with a bit of Kristina från Duvemåla and other musicals).

On a side note: Ingvar! will be avaible on SVT Play (x) for some months, watch it peeps, it’s amazing! It’s in swedish though. Who could have guessed that a musical about Ingvar Kamprad and IKEA would be so very catchy. And just look at this: 

I love the shelf, dynamite and meatball costumes. I only knew of Anders Ekborg and Daniel Engman before watching this, but all the performers are amazing. 8. Best compliment that you’ve ever received? This isn’t the best one, I know that much, but I don’t remember anything else right now, so: last year I worked with pulled sugar for the first (and so far only) time to do a bow for a cake to a friend’s birthday party, and for a split-second someone though it was real, that was fun!

9. If you could spend the day with any historical person of your choice, who would it be? Someone important to the field of conservation biology and/or ecology and/or environmental science I think. Probably Rachel Carson, I mean Silent Spring was revolutionary and so, so important, both considering the use of pesticides but also for raising awareness about nature’s vulnerability to human intervention.  

10. Are you a prisoner of planet earth? I’d say it sometimes feels like planet earth is a prisoner of the human race. (I didn’t get the reference so I googled it and I’ve never heard of the ”prison earth” idea before, if that’s even what you’re after. But no, I don’t think I am). Here’s my questions: 1. Favourite mineral or rock, if you have one, if not: birthstone? 2. What was the last movie or tv show/series you watched and what did you think about it? 3. Favourite jam?  4. Do you prefer deciduous or coniferous forests? Or another kind of forest?  5. Is there any song/movie/tv show that reminds you of a time in your life that you miss sometimes? 6. Do you prefer restaurants or cafés, and why?  7. What would be the perfect picture (for you) for your birth month in a calendar?  8. Favourite instrument to listen to?  9. Sooo, a long, long time ago (but not a whole year at least) I was tagged by the lovely @stolligaseptember! // I’m starting to catch a cold so I’ve got no energy to study so yeah, look what kind of things I’m catching up on doing instead :) //

Colour(s) I’m currently wearing: Some kind of greyish beige or something, I have no idea, as well as grey, white and black. Not even my socks are colourful, what is this!?  

Last band I saw live: Flogging Molly! They were so so good! Actually I thought about answering this some weeks ago but by then I hadn’t been at a concert for like years so I decided to wait ‘til after I saw Molly…

Last song I listened to: The price of a mile by Sabaton, before that it was the full swedish Talespin theme song and before that the song Reser fast jag inte vill from a swedish musical I’d love to see. I think this illustrates my diverse taste in music in a lovely way (although there’s a lot of my preferred genres missing)

Last movie I watched: I think it was Mission Impossible: Ghost protocol

Last 3 TV shows I watched: Backstrom, Scooby-Doo, where are you! and uuh, BBC’s Big Cats maybe? (if you like nature documentaries I highly recommend it! If you’re swedish it’s called Världens natur: Katternas planet and you can see the second episode on SVT Play for two more days)

3 characters I identify with: Newt Scamander, Robert Nilsson (The Emigrants novels/the musical Kristina from Duvemåla) and the Hemul (Moomins). Although I must say I sadly haven’t read a lot of Moomin books so I don’t really know, but he adores flowers and sometimes wanders around in caves and I just feel like yeah, you and me both love

Books I’m currently reading: Oh. Oh. Okay. Lets’ see, well there’s the Sands of time (the Hermux Tantamoq adventures) which I read somewhat regularly. And sometimes, but not particularly often, I read Rån och inga visor (the little old lady behaving badly) and Små citroner gula (small yellow lemons). And I sporadically read (aka even less than the books I don’t read particularly often) Utvandrarna (the Emigrants), En stund på Jorden (A time on earth), Min mormor hälsar och säger förlåt (My grandmother asked me to tell you she’s sorry), Trollkarlens hatt (Finn family moomintroll), Kalle Blomkvist – Mästerdetektiven lever farligt (Bill Bergson lives dangerously), Kalle Blomkvist och Rasmus (Bill Bergson and the White Rose Rescue) and The Book Thief. I think that’s most of them? But alas, who knows, I can’t keep up with all the books I’m currently reading. For someone that doesn’t read that often I sure read a lot of different books.

Oh and wait, I’m also currently reading Life: The science of biology and  Introduktion till mikrobiologi: med inriktning mot naturvetare och farmaceuter (something like: “An introduction to microbiology: for scientists and pharmacists”). Which is, surprise surprise, the two books I read most regularly of all the ones mentioned.
