Hello onenicebugperday, i am doing a project where i propose an idea for an art exhibit and i wanted to talk about traditional silk and cause people to think about the weight of a bugs life (why yes, it is very bee movie-esque, we're not talking about it) and why its necessary(?) To smash up pupas for a decorative fabric, like.... We had wool. We had cotton. What else do u need? Im not sure if i want to make the exhibit focus on silkworms solely, (1/2)
I think i might want to include some other bugs and maybe comment on something a little larger like, how people and bugs are intertwined... Moreso than benefitting from pollenated crops, i mean like, eating bugs, (something not useless or bad, its nutrition, and thats good), and then maybe go on to talking about how bugs are shaping our future? Do you have any recommendations on recent bug science i could read up on? Im still trying to figure out the plot of this fictional exhibit lol (2/2)
That’s a cool concept for an art project! Unfortunately, no, I haven’t read any articles lately about anything relevant to that. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful! If any followers have any resources that may be useful, feel free to share in the comments or whatever :)
