The Stars Shine Brighter With You [Wallace + Steven]
(( @stoneccentric ))
Mossdeep City was so gorgeous, so beautiful... And Wallace was overjoyed that he made this fit into his schedule. It had been a little too long since he had dazzled the stage last, and the itch had come back and bitten him harder then ever. Now, dressed in only his contest finest, and with Grace all done up in beautiful contest-appropriate wear, it was time for them to light up the stage, and drink up all the attention.
Their movements were so well coordinated, and it was painfully obvious that this was not their first rodeo. Grace would summon water droplets into existence, and then smash the cluster of water, creating a fine mist that sparkled and shone in the light. A calm and composed smile covered his face, but he wanted to break down and snuggle his dear little Milotic for being so wonderful and beautiful. Time and time again, she made them shine, and he was almost moved to tears.
However, the show must go on.
He couldn't help but get a little teary eyed as the show went on, his beautiful and wonderful Milotic doing her part, and Wallace helping to make them both shine. It was true beauty right there, and Wallace's eyes sparkled as he looked out over the crowd... but a surprising dash of blue and red caught his eyes.
Was that...?
What in the world was Steven Stone doing here, and with beautiful red flowers no less? Wallace couldn't help the surprised look that broke his perfect game face, but he was quick to catch himself, throwing a smirk his way before executing the finale. Steven was one of few that managed to surprise him so much.
Droplets of water shimmered in the light, and his Pokemon posed perfectly and elegantly by his side, her head resting on his shoulder and his arm framing her. The crowd roared, and Wallace's chest heaved as he tried to breathe though the adrenaline and excitement. Steven had actually showed. He had told him that he wouldn't be able to, and yet... He did.
His friend really was the best.
The second they were allowed, Wallace ran up to Steven, throwing his arms around him and bringing him into a tight hug. The judges would make their decisions soon.
"You're the worst!" Wallace scolded, although it was playful. "Saying things like 'I can't come,' and then you manage to shock me during my performance! Who do you think you are, mister?" A big grin covered his face as he laughed, letting Steven go.
