Summary:

“Bring the cheese puffs,” Thorn tells him. Stone makes a wordless sound of agreement from Hound’s left.

“And something for the fidget over here,” Fox says. “Needs something to play with or he’ll wear a hole through the sofa.”

Hound tries not to sink down the sofa any farther, embarrassed, but doesn’t disagree.

They fall to the mats in a thump of flesh and skidding feet. Hound finds himself staring wide-eyed up into Stone's face, bare inches above his own, breath heaving in his lungs and legs well tangled. Stone's forearm weighs heavy on his collar but that's the least of his worries—in fact it tethers him, keeps him from leaning up and crashing their mouths together in what would probably be a painful and unwelcome move.

But Stone's gaze flicks to Hound's lips, and his thoughts stop dead in their tracks.
