My Spiritual Beliefs
By Stoney Creation
As a spiritual individual, I am always going to have conflict with others and their opinions because people are too caught up in religion. On an everyday basis, I usually keep my beliefs to myself in terms of religion because I’m not judgmental of what other people believe in. Most of the time when I engage in conversations having to deal with religion, it gets a little intense or sometimes it turns into a really synchronized discussion, it all depends on the person though.
Sometimes, these discussions can take me for a whirlwind depending on who I’m talking to and how serious they believe in their religion. It’s kind of hard to discuss my beliefs with some of my family because they probably would think I’m crazy or they would think I didn’t know what I was talking about. For example, when my Nana used to ask if I wanted to get baptized, I used to always say no because it creeped me out for some reason, like I was signing up for a mystery task I wasn’t sure about. I always wondered what she thought but I think she genuinely knew I was scared. When I got older and realized my beliefs, my Nana pushed the Christianity thing on me hard.
I couldn’t let her know my beliefs fully because I knew she would probably try to send me to some reform camp to help me believe in Jesus. So, I just let her think I was still Christian but with a spin of spiritually. I don’t know if she’s finally figured out my beliefs since my music puts it completely out there but she should know by now since I never go to church. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Satanist or some crazy ish, I just don’t personally believe that there’s a floating white man over my head that controls my life and has the power to send me to hell if I use his name in vain. I mean does that not sound like a tale or am I tripping?
Personally, I believe in the Universe and that the Universe is me. I leave my spiritually to be broad and simple. Everything is interconnected and I believe life is going to flow how it should with my thoughts of manifestation. In other words, I believe that my mind will create realities that are best for my mission on Earth. Everyone is going to have faith in whatever they want. People shouldn’t force their beliefs on others, they should just be OK with what they believe in.
