THEY HATE IT WHEN YOU'RE NOT AFRAID! After some early morning sketching at #Starbucks at #thePaddockshops in #Louisville yesterday, I decided to take a bus to my teaching gig across town. The bus stop is positioned in the front of #StoneyRiver Bar and Grill. So I sat down with my cup of water to wait for my bus. After about 20 mins: The Restaurant Mgr: (leaning out restaurant door) May I help you? Me: No. Thank you R.Mgr: Okay, well you can't sit here. Me: (removing earphones) I'm sorry. What? R.Mgr: You can't sit here. I've got guests coming. You need to leave. Me: What do you mean I "can't sit here"? R.Mgr: Just what I said. You can't sit here. I've got guests coming. So, you need to go. Now! Me: (waving my hand) lol. Man get outta here. R.Mgr: Look, you can't sit here... Me: I can sit anywhere I damn well please. R.Mgr: I said leave now! Or I'll call security! (retreats back inside restaurant door) Me: CALL THEM! Please call them! Jacka$$! R.Mgr. (turning on his heels, phone to his ear) Okay, they're on their way!!!!! (Disappears back into the restaurant) 5 mins. Later two "Public Safety officers" arrive. P.S.O.-1 (younger of the two) Um...what's going on? Me: Nothing's going on with me. What's going on with you? P.S.O.-1: Well, I'm not sure. The R.Mgr. said someone was sitting here. Or something? Me: Oh, well you might want to talk with him. Cause what he's saying has no bearing on me whatsoever. PSO-2: goes inside restaurant. (2 min. Later.) PSO-2: (to me) Uh...well....you have to understand. We're in the middle of it. Me: You're not in the middle of anything. There's nothing happening here. I'm sitting peacefully. Waiting for a bus. That's it. PSO-1: Well, the Mgr. Said you have to go. Me: who cares what he says? PSO-1: He owns this property. It's private! Me: Really? Then why are you here? Are you his private security? PSO-: Look I'm not arguing with you. If you don't go I'll call 911! Me: CALL THEM!!!!!!!!!!! PSO-1 (calls 911) (15mins. Later no police arrive.) Me: (15 mins. Later after missing my bus) Hey guys, I can't wait all day. I'm calling Uber. (6 mins. Later Uber arrives) Me: later guys. It's been a blast. See you on the news.
