Here is something I feel the need to emphasize to everyone bitching about the How I Met Your Mother Finale. 

TED DID NOT SETTLE FOR SECOND BEST! TRACY WAS NOT SECOND BEST! HE LOVED HER SO MUCH! THAT SPEECH HE GAVE AT THE END WAS BEAUTIFUL! HE LOVED HER! SHE DIED SIX YEARS BEFORE HE BEGAN TO TELL HIS STORY! HE MOVED FORWARD!

AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT STORY WAS? IT WAS HIM ASKING PERMISSION FROM THE UNIVERSE TO MOVE FORWARD (MUCH LIKE TRACY DID WITH MAX!!!!!!!!) 

EVEN THE MOTHER SAID "LIFE ONLY MOVES FORWARD!" 

AND AS FOR HIM ENDING UP WITH ROBIN? IT DOESN'T DISCOUNT ANYTHING. HE AND ROBIN WERE FINALLY RIGHT FOR EACH OTHER AT THE SAME TIME! 

MANY YOUNG WIDOWERS REMARRY PEOPLE THEY KNEW BEFORE THEY WERE FIRST MARRIED. 

HIM MOVING FORWARD WITH ROBIN DOESN'T MEAN THAT TRACY WAS SECOND BEST OR THAT TED SETTLED! ALL IT MEANS IS THAT TED IS MOVING FORWARD. 

And it's so true to life.
