Comedian and vlogger Elijah Daniel became mayor of Hell, Michigan, proceeded to ban all heterosexuals, and then was impeached. This singlehandedly saved 2017
Can we just… normalize teens loving their parents? Like obviously you’re not obligated to if your parents are shitty, but damn, I love my mom. She’s there for me all the time and sure we have rough patches but honestly she’s the greatest. Like. We need teens to know that they don’t have to hate their parents just cause.
It must be nice to come from a nonabusive family. One that doesn’t traumatized every emotional interaction to the point where you drive away any sign of love as a form of manipulation because that’s all that you were raised with. 🤷♀️
It is.
Reading Comprehension
but loving ur parents is already normalized and its the kids w/ abusive parents that actually have to deal with misunderstandings and ignorance from others regarding this topic.
Hey there, I’m talking about the trope where it’s seen as super uncool to like your parents that was literally pushed on teens through the media since the culture shift in the early 60s. The post has nothing to do with abusive parents. I was abused as a kid and honestly if the trope where teens have to hate their parents to be cool died, then kids with actual abusive parents would have an easier time recognizing abuse this has been a psa
“if the trope where teens have to hate their parents to be cool died, then kids with actual abusive parents would have an easier time recognizing abuse”
Teen with abusive parents: I hate my parents
Teen influenced by society: Me too mine are the worst
The takeaway for teen 1: This is normal and it’s supposed to be this way
The takeaway for teen 2: My friend’s parents are like mine
The takeaway for any adult listening: All kids who complain about their parents are just being rebellious
Did I ever tell yall about the time I had a really vivid dream that I overheard some dudebros talking about sucking dick and one of them said “I’d suck a dick” and his bros were like “but bro you’re straight” and the response was “It doesn’t have to be a guy’s dick. Don’t be a transphobe, Chad” because I just remembered the phrase “Don’t be a transphobe, Chad” and now I’m laughing
I’m reblogging this because I just remembered “don’t be a transphobe, chad” again
Congrats California for looking forward.
Okay. So. I once wrote about a theory I had about Doctor Who and I really want it to happen on the show.
So, I truly believe that the reason that the Doctor is so drawn to Earth and humanity is that there are Time Babies scattered throughout the human timeline.
What are Time Babies? They are the children of politicians, scientists, military people, and other Galifreyans who knew the war with Scarro was coming. They didn’t want their young children and babies to live through war. So, they researched an alien species that looked like them, and found humans. They locked away the Time Lord essences. They paid someone (not the Doctor, who was off adventuring) to steal a TARDIS and smuggle the babies throughout the human timeline, beginning to end. The Doctor, then, has an unexplained affinity for humans. They don’t know why they’re drawn to humans, they just think they have an affinity for this species. But, unconsciously, it’s because they hear the cry of the Time Babies.
And, since Time Babies were scattered, beginning to end, every human on Earth has a small piece of Time Person in them, some more than others. Stephan Hawking, and his incredible brain, child of a Time Baby. Trump, no Time Baby in his family since the 10th century. All of those who seemed so ahead of their time, Time Babies. Without knowing it.
And then these Time Babies are just here. And they’re around us, and in us. And one day, a companion of the Doctor turns out to be a Time Baby. And when they find this out, they (the companion) decides they want to find other Time Babies. They want to rebuild Galifrey better than it ever has been. The Doctor, while they want to help, knows there is more to do. So companion leaves, in search of Time Babies, and the Doctor goes the other way. There’s a possible spinoff with Time Baby companion. Then, at the end of that spin off, they meet up with the Doctor with an epic battle to get back to Galifrey.
pls just do yourself a favor and watch superstore
Amazon forced me to change my mother's password, and now she's crying about it. This is what living in the 21st century is.
And now she’s crying about our television remote not working. So. Yes. 21st century.
How millennials killed the divorce industry
This moment in Younger’s episode 4.04 really struck me. As a woman who enjoys both reading and writing romance, it’s frustrating to feel like I have to defend myself whenever I tell people that. You’re often put into one of two boxes: a silly little girl obsessed with love or a horny, repressed housewife. What I love about great romantic fiction (besides that it’s just plain enjoyable) is its exploration of human emotion and vulnerability, because when are you more vulnerable than when you fall in love? That shit takes guts. Romance novels show characters going through the pain and heartache of life and finding love in spite of it all, and we get to share in the experience as it changes them.
What is more universal than our desire for love? Than the way it transforms us? What is more human than the joy and pain that comes with it?
Love requires vulnerability. True vulnerability requires courage, not weakness.
And uh, how come male authors can include graphic sex and it’s deemed “edgy,” but when women do it (and actually explore the human emotions attached to it), it’s “corny”? Seriously, fuck that.
I love Boston so fn much

fun fact: there is a goddess of friendship in ancient greece named philotes
extra fun fact: she is a daughter of nyx, whose other children are such lovely people as thanatos (god of death), momus (god of mockery), oizys (goddess of misery and depression), nemesis (goddess of retribution), apate (goddess of deceit), and eris (goddess of strife)
Every family has an oddball
Philotes was the goddess of friendship, affection, and sex.
