fomo is the fear of missing out. for extreme social butterflies, it's actually pretty painful to experience because not only do you feel it sometimes, you're most likely feeling it ALLLLL THE TIME. I wish fomo wasn't a real thing.. but it is and it sucks hella dick. I'm living in a time where everything is shared and everyone is connected all the fucking time, so I'm consistently getting these extreme urges of wanting to do it all, AND IT SUCKS. I want to not feel it, but I do. there should be a psychological study on it if there isn't already. FOMO is feeling sure that the world is having all this woopty doopty fun. that everyone is doing something way cooler, successful, and better than you. it's just a black hole of negativity and a room full of complicated emotions such as anxiety, envy, anger, jealousy, etc;..
maybe a cure to fomo is to rather than practicing submitting to your fomo, maybe practice submitting to your dreams?
or
maybe instead look around and look at all the things to be grateful for.
and...
if you are still like me at the end of the day.. full of a shit ton of fomo, do something about it. make a plan and take things one step at a time. each step is empowering in itself. you can have everything you want in life you just need patience and perseverance.
