Astrology Observations Part 8
🎭 According to psychological interpretations of astrology, the Ascendant (1st house) represents your False Self, while the 12th house symbolizes your True Self.
The True Self represents your authentic, hidden nature beneath social roles and defenses, while the False Self is the persona you present to the world to meet expectations or feel accepted.
❓ People with Leo and Virgo both in their 12th house often feel confused about whether they should be selfish or not.
💼 People with strong 12th house and 10th or 11th house placements often experience burnout from constantly balancing their inner world with outer expectations and responsibilities.
🌊 Summary of the signs in the 12th house:
Water signs in the 12th house = fear of intimacy
Fire signs in the 12th house = fear of authenticity
Air signs in the 12th house = fear of exposure
Earth signs in the 12th house = fear of reality
🌳 Earth signs in the 1st house highly value boundaries, which may be seen by others as selfish or arrogant, but they also deeply respect other people’s boundaries as well.
🎈🎁 The older you get, the more your solar returns keep pushing you to tap into your 12th house and 8th house energy, making it gradually more visible outwardly.
💔 In psychological terms, we all lack empathy in certain areas, but it only becomes a problem when it starts to affect our daily lives. We can also see this in the natal chart: if someone has a prominent placement in the 12th or 8th house, it often indicates that they have suppressed this type of energy or trait in their life, which may lead to a form of empathy dysregulation.
🎮 The 1st house or ingress degrees are considered the beginning of the cycle. This is the area where you’re learning how to balance that sign or planet’s energy. Just like in a video game where you’re still at level 1, you might experience a lot of mistakes with this energy in a more immature way, a lot of trial and error, which makes it more difficult to master (unlike the 12th house, which represents completion or mastery). The negative traits of that sign or planet are usually more heightened here.
😒 Someone’s personal placements in the 12th or 8th house may indicate being surrounded by that type of energy constantly, which can lead to becoming desensitized to it or even repulsed by it. (For example, having Mars in the 12th house can mean you’re always surrounded by Aries or Scorpio energy.) This could also explain the theme of hidden enemies, because the more familiar you become with this energy, the more it can breed contempt, since you end up knowing both the positive and negative depths of that energy very intimately.
🐾 There are specific animals that people with certain placements are naturally drawn to. For example, I’ve noticed that people with Virgo placements are often drawn to deer or crows. People with Gemini, Virgo, or prominent Mercury energy tend to be drawn to birds. People with Taurus, Libra, or strong Venusian energy are usually drawn to rabbits. (I’d like to make a list of this when I have time, because I can often identify someone’s placements by the types of animals they’re drawn to.)
