idk if this has been said already but i’ve recently rewatched atsv for like the 4th time and tbh….
i really don’t think earth 42 miles would’ve gone down a much different path if he had been bitten like he was supposed to.
like let’s think abt it, even with the technological advancements he has as the prowler, he’s not necessarily fighting crime as it is. like he already has similar abilities as a spider person ( swinging w his grapplers n shit ), but still does what he does.
let’s also consider how his dad hasn’t been around for years, so even w spider powers, would he really have drifted that far from becoming the prowler??? like on earth 1610, w jeff being a cop, i think that helps to instill a stronger sense of heroism in miles. along with the fact that there was a spiderman before miles, so he had more heroic figures to look up to ( also drawing him further from his uncle’s influence ). but without his dad or peter in earth 42, his uncle has a much stronger influence on him, and we all know his uncle isn’t known for being heroic.
this is not to say that he’d become a villain or anything, because as we know, the prowler on earth 42 is not a villain. i just think he’d still do similar things if he had gotten bit, but w spider powers lol !!
