5 Reasons Why You Should Adopt Pets Instead Of Buying
Maybe you do not know adopting a pet is not just about saving some money on having a new fur family member, it's always been more than that. It's saving them from some Inhumans ruthlessly producing puppies to run a colossal pup industry.
Can you imagine 6.5 million cats and dogs enter US animal shelters each year? Those adorable animals are lonely there. If you have grown into a family with a fur family member, you know how they live happily around. Wagging their tail when you come back from a long working day, running into circles around you, jumps on you to get some love and affection and what you would have done is just swung open the door!
Euthanized pets live alone in the shelters. They need a family, a home where they feel loved. Many of them destined to be there because of couples fall apart. If people start adopting animals then no. of sheltered animals would drastically reduce and there will be free space available for new pets who really need a shelter.
1. When You Buy A Pet From A Pet Store You Are Supporting Puppy Mills. Your Dog Doesn't Know About It But You Should!
Puppy industries are producing the maximum no. of puppies for the minimum cost. And they do not care how the pets feel. Dogs are treated as baby-producing machines. A father and a mother dog are kept in a tiny filthy cage to produce babies. There is no literally any space that they can move. They are not taken for a walk outside. Their whole life passes in the cage for producing babies as long as they are capable to do so.
Caged dogs are likely to develop lesions and sores as they have really tiny space in there and they are constantly in touch with a sharp wired frame of the cage. Usually, cages are stacked vertically so all the urine and feces get poured down on them. This makes them sick and uncomfortable there.
Poor veterinary care and hygiene make them prone to diseases. They are not taken care of any vaccinations and medication if they fall ill. Moreover, the unhygienic environment develops diseases and infections in them. As a result of that many pups from the pet store are found to be suffering from health issues ranging from parasites to pneumonia. Also, pups are found to be having the fear-driven behavioral problems as they are removed from their littermates and from their mothers at very early age.
Mother dogs are used as baby-producing machines there. They are bred at every opportunity possible without any rest or any gap between their litters. They are abused to their death for their reproduction and when they lost their reproducing ability, they are usually abandoned or killed.
Would you still support excruciating puppy mills by buying a pet from a pet store?
