We know what we like and dislike and we shape our beliefs around what we learn. We develop opinions based on what we believe and become prejudice to the things we don’t align with, making them wrong. We can be prejudice about people and we carry this with us creating separation. When we view what we don’t understand we question and start to build negative thoughts around it. If we think we are above it, this makes us feel superior and this can be dangerous. If we open our hearts and see from love prejudice disappears.
We are taught what to believe and we start to form opinions from these beliefs. When they don’t match, our minds try to find reason and becomes prejudice. This makes us feel superior to others and in the end causes us to be unhappy. If we can be open to what we don’t “understand” or “believe” we will be happier and make peace. We all have prejudice against something or someone and this causes unnecessary problems for no reason at all.
We have the ability to change what we don’t like about ourselves. What we see in others, “is” what we see in ourselves. When we are prejudice this separates us and can be blown out of proportion. If we keep an open mind to all people and situations and know it is none of our business, we can experience peace and joy.
