It's official. I saw a Star Trek fic that crossovers with Sherlock.

Why is everyone so upset over hobbit!lock crossovers and such? Every fandom has crossovers. Seems like people want to criticize everything the fandom does

Sigh. I don’t even know, man. I don’t know. The #1 argument against it seems to be that it is annoying to see it in the general The Hobbit/Sherlock tags, but I can safely say that the large majority of the Hobbitlock material is actually tagged under ‘Hobbitlock’ and if it seriously bothers someone so much that they can’t even stand occasionally seeing it on their dashboard without harassing/mocking the (thousands of) people who happen to like it, I suggest they get this handy little tool called Tumblr Saviour or Unfollow Hater and just move on with their lives instead.

Some people on this site are really good at creating trivial problems for themselves. That’s all I can say.

basically my BIGGEST pet peeve about Sherlock (and I have A LOT) is this:

Being smart and attractive gives NO ONE the right to be a douchebag. I have worked with people who think that they can be as rude as they want, just because they are intelligent.

your level of intelligence does not act as a free pass to be a dick.

you are are not better than someone just because you are very smart. 

honestly, Sherlock's behavior in the show is disturbingly similar to a 5th grade boy's.

It's not cute.

It's not attractive.

*arguably pretty. or at least not conventionally attractive

Dear other fandoms, your fandom is not made of glass. You do not need to wrap it up in tissue paper and protect it from every outsider who comes too close. It's fiction, and if someone alters it to suit their headcanon or crosses it over with their own fandom, your own canon and headcanons will not be affected.
