Runner, Interrupted
I was so dedicated to my running schedule and, honestly, I've never been more dedicated to anything. And then the end of summer came around, I finished at my summer job, and had to pack, pack, PACK everything for school, and make time to visit with friends before leaving.
Basically, running didn't end up happening. My last run was last Tuesday, so it's been over a week now. I'm going to head out for a run tonight, but I'm a little scared...my times had been improving and I was feeling so great! And now it's been more than a week, so I'm scared all my progress and hard work will have been lost. Before I started training for the half marathon, I'd just quit when I got scared after having not run for a few days. I'd find some excuse not to go out. This is different though. Before I would dread seeing how much progress I had lost, and now it's like I want to get out there ASAP to stop myself from losing any more.
It's strange being a new city, so far from home, but that just means my runs will be EXTRA interesting because there are so many new things to see. Hopefully I don't get lost!
