If I see you complaining about LU and about how people keep talking about it, I will block you. Not because I am upset about you complaining, complain away. But that way I won’t bother you with my love for a piece of media. You won’t have to see my posts about how cool the comic is, and how I love LoZ as a series but I also adore this one comic in particular. And I won’t accidentally reblog your art or analysis as LU. Win-win all around.
Can you draw your interpretation of what Eliza's parents would look like?
ooooooo a challenge
a hard challenge 😭 I’m open for any headcanons on what Eliza’s parents look like but here’s something I tried?
she’s gotta get her personality from somewhere.
For her parents I went with old money vibes (I’m ngl idk what that means). The inside of their house is very traditional rich instead of modern/sleek rich so I wanted to go in that direction.
Eliza’s mom is into large jewelry! She has huge sphere earrings and an oval pendant. (my inspo being Princess Peach just like Eliza’s inspo!) She might have gotten her nose done but she’ll never tell you that. (Probably resembled Eliza’s once upon a time)
I also thought it’d be ironic if her parents both had thick poofy curly hair and Eliza is stuck with thin straight and brown 😭 - maybe why her wig is the way it is?
She picked her outfit herself btw!!! This is before the Creek - she’ll develop her attitude later
Hello!
I am the strange little person who is hosting the 4pm Homestuck meetup at dashcon two! As far as we know it will be in the heritage gardens but that is subject to change. I have hosted Homestuck meets before back in the 2010s so I promise I know what I’m doing lol maybe hahah! Anyway I’ll be putting together a list of photos we’re gonna take. We will of course be taking requests day of but the list is just to streamline it so we can get as much done as possible.(it’s 2025 people we the homestucks will not be making a public nuisance of ourselves we are gonna get everyone’s wishlist for pictures done within the allotted time! You know like grown ups) If anyone wants me to add something to the list please let me know. DMs, asks, replies, and reblogs are all perfectly valid ways to let me know what to add. I’m all kinds of reachable lol. Anyway, I hope to see everyone there!
Sooo, we're a third through the year. Is it to soon to talk about trends yet? Because I've noticed something and uhm do you think the (Thai) 2025 trend is going to be (mutual) masturbation? Heart Killers started it (admittedly that episode was in 2024, but still thank you for your service Joon), both episodes of My Stubborn have it, now My Golden Blood. I can see it happen in Pit Babe 2. What do you think?
it’s certainly new to BL’s screens.
I think I could probably count on one hand (pun intended) the times I have seen it come up (pun intended) in BL before.
(call out to That Oil Scene tho in IFYLITA)

Responding to this post as a separate post because I want to respond to something that I think is beyond the scope/intention of the original post (and honestly the scope/intention of the response in the linked post) but that, like.
I want to respond to it because it's been churning in my head.
Specifically the idea of the Protestant Work Ethic and trying to earn your way into heaven.
Because that's the very antithesis of what the Gospel is.
Over and over, it is made very clear that you cannot earn your way into heaven. (Titus 3:5 and Ephesians 2:8-9 are the ones that come immediately to mind, but there are more than that. (I also like - Romans 4 and the entire discussion about it being faith and not works and especially Romans 4:4-8.)) Literally one of the entire points is that you are stuck in your sin and you cannot get out and no matter what you do, you cannot earn your way in, but God loves you and chose you and wants you, so He paid your debt Himself (Jesus) and is giving you His righteousness - His perfection - because He was the only one who could earn His way in.
God is for you, not against you.
Are there things you should be doing? Yes. (Ephesians 2:10 talks about that, too.) But, like. It's not to earn your way in. It's out of love and gratefulness to the One who got you out of your horrible predicament? And then on top of that, made you a co-heir with Him?
Because it's...He paid for you to get in and then also you got adopted as a child of God? And someone described it once as good works after that being like when a child makes a drawing for their dad and their dad hangs it on the fridge? It's not to earn anything; it's because you love Him, too?
So, like - I want to know where the Protestant Work Ethic went wrong. Why so many people think it's about earning their way when it isn't that at all.
It's a gift. It was always a gift.
