I recently saw this tik tok and I wasn’t sure if it was real or not and I did some further research and I also found this article from Pink News as well as it being discussed throughout other social media such as twitter and reddit. While I question whether it will happen or not I think it is important to share.
/pol/ is a board on forchan that is known to be alt-right and they have tried to put together something to disrupt pride month called Operation Pridefall. On June 1st they plan to spread a lot of homophobia and there has even been discussion of doxing lgbt people and outing us. This is very dangerous.
Whether or not this is followed through on, it is important to be safe and this is a reminder to be careful what information you share about yourself and who you interact with online. Block trolls. Be picky about who you share information with and when you share information especially in spaces you’re out in. If you share pictures be mindful of metadata. Perhaps invest in a good VPN and use browsers that don’t sell your data. If you are a minor be especially cautious.
The internet can be a lovely plce to make friends and find communities, however, there are A LOT of dangerous people. And while forchan does sometimesjust troll you don’t want to rely on this just being about trolling, it is important to be cautious and smart.
