I wonder what would have happened if Liam was encouraged to be “ the next Liam Payne” & not forced and pressured to be “the next Justin Bieber”? .. I was housemates with Liam in 2010 when we were both contestants on the horribleness that was Xfactor UK at the height of its disgusting manipulation & exploitation of innocent people simply looking for a break. We had a few wonderful authentic moments including sitting at the piano together (he was a wonderful budding songwriter) but as his fame grew, his artistry was stifled, and I imagine that was hard for him to manage. . Please, if you are an artist and are struggling, call someone (I have been in weekly therapy sessions since 2010, payed for by ME! as the Xfactor offered ZERO mental health care, during & after the show) . My heart goes out to Liam’s family and friends & fans who I know will be thinking of him today with love and sadness. . I honor Liam’s memory by recommitting myself to my own artistic expression and avoiding at all costs, the corporate machine that destroyed Liam and sadly so many others.
