Anyone ever feel broody like a bird?

Ok, I know the title is weird, but hear me out for a sec?

Last two nights I've been feeling something that's kinda new to me. Broody is the best word I can think of to describe it, like when a chicken is sitting on her eggs or chicks and has her feathers all proofed up to keep them warm and safe. It's only started showing itself when I get in bed for the night and settle down.

It's not distressing me or preventing me from sleeping, so I'm not worried about it, but I think I'm going to try and make my bed a bit more of a nest and get a few bigger plushies to soothe whatever instinct this is. Kinda wish I had an egg plush maybe :/

I tried thinking of which kintypes might be influencing this, and I figured it's mostly the various dragon species/identities (only some of them) + snow stalker

Lmk if anyone else has experienced this! I'm curious to hear about other's experiences :D

Dimflight the Stormcutter

her colors frequent the most when I get wing and tail shifts, which is almost every day

don't know how to explain it but the guard thing also applies kinda. not literally, but idk mentally maybe??? this also goes with Gloomleer and Wingwary

Stormcutter update

Alright I've come to the conclusion that rather than kinning individual stormcutters I am actually just stormcutters in general. Like a cladotherian. Idk if there's a seperate term for when the clade/group of species isn't from Earth tho. Cladokin?

The exception to this is Scalestrom. I am still Scalestrom as an identity (might change my pfp to her).

Other stormcutters I've mentioned in the past are Dimflight, Marinecutter, Gloomleer, Wingwary, Cloudjumper, and Hurribane. I don't feel like writing stuff rn but I'll elaborate on the others later. Probably

went to the smithy (the dentist's office) today and got my fangs cleaned by Gobber (the dentist)

other minor things that have happened recently:

Did a bit of self searching to try and figure out more about Hatchet, my forest dragon kin, starting with a species name because I got tired of just saying forest dragon (could mean so many things and was too generic for the world we come from). After a bit of brainstorming, "Fir Rattler" seemed the closest to something right (lives in the forest + rattles back spines as a threat display). However the village where Hatchet lives doesn't speak english, so Fir could possibly be swapped for Pine/Spruce/Cedar/ect in their language. No, I don't know the language, since it just presents as english in my mind :(

Might be getting some new colors in the coatflux aspects of being a stormcutter, mainly dark browns and oranges. Not the Cloudjumper kind, though - more like Hurribane

Its also hard to distinguish between a possible fictionkin with stormcutter characters and what's just coatflux because I share many of the same traits and preferences as some of them, and I'm unsure of where the line starts and ends for me

Wing/tail shifts with Marine's colors happen mostly during the day (though not very often; about once or twice a week), and usually when I'm in a more positive mood

Somewhat inclined to have nesting tendencies/urges more than the other stormcutters

Swimming is very very pleasant :)
