Well I can definitely believe it. I mean okay, let’s start this with look how many people Megs went and nominated for positivity! Isn’t it time she got a little back herself? I mean, I want to be honest, it takes a hell of a good egg to want to reach out and give people a little bit of a smile and to let them know there is someone thinking of them. So I mean that’s a hell of a start because you know already off the bat that Megs really does care about others.

Next up is how much you really pour into your muses. It’s so heartening to have found someone this year that so loves Joaquin the way you do. Who takes the time to find the flesh to someone cast so thinly as a villain. Who wants to build out and create stories when handed so little to work with. It’s amazing! Like you really do your freaking best to make gold out of straw, to give them depth and careful motivation, to build out who they are beneath the actions taken. And I just love that about you and your writing, and I don’t ever wanna see you lose that!

Megs, as a person, outside of all the rest, I know we don’t talk tons and tons, but I do feel you are a good egg who does her best to give goodness to the community, and stand for the right thing. Never stop doing that. It’s that that draws good people to you, and good people are the foundation to success. This new year is gonna be a big one, girl! Let’s tackle this shit together!

Jughead stretched his legs out on the booth at Pop’s, his back resting against the window. He had been here for a while now with his eyes closed, headphones on, feet tapping to the various beats. It was his quiet time - a time when he could spread out, eat as much as he wanted, and feel good about where he was right now. Sure, he still had bruises and wounds healing on his skin, he still had the bandage on his arm where the Serpent tattoo had been - but for all intents and purposes, he was good.

( Minus the PTSD ) .

Everything was seemingly figuring itself out. Cheryl had become apart of the Serpents much to his delight ( she deserved it ), and Veronica had saved the greatest place in town for his ‘gang’ ( he needed to come up with a better name for them since he was going to carry a new torch ). He was belly-full of two cheeseburgers and fries, but he sipped longingly on his strawberry milkshake wondering when he was going to get hungry again so he could enjoy another meal.

That’s when the bell of Pop’s door jingled, causing him to peak open his eyes and turn to see who it was. His songs were between tracks so it was quiet, long enough for him to catch the familiar sound and see the familiar girl walking in. Jug slipped the headphones off of his head - though part of him expected Veronica to not notice him.

Were they friends now? Could they . . . do this? Whatever this was?

A cigarette was tucked between his lips as he walked along the streets of the Southside as if he had an army behind him. He didn’t know how long he had been walking for, but it must have been hours. He couldn’t be stuck inside anymore. He was wallowing in bed all morning, and he felt like he was going CRAZY. A familiar shade of pink caught his eye from the other side of the road, and he couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief at the familiar face. ❝ Topaz! ❞ He called out to her.  ❝ Where the hell have you been?❞

“That’s CUTE, but I’m not here because I’m lost,” A roll of her eyes at the Serpent Prince when one of his posse had spoke up, telling her to take her CLASS and her heels and march her way back up to the North side of town. “I’m here because I want IN,” she declared out loud, a pop of her hip as she crossed her arms in front of her chest, giving them a once over. Her reasons were HER OWN; and she wasn’t about to expose them, not out loud. But she’d do whatever it takes to earn Hiram Lodge’s IRE; starting with a tattoo and a South Side Serpents membership.

“Dad...” Sofia said with a sigh as she stood at the entrance of her father’s office. “Come on, Dad. It’s been two weeks now, and you haven’t spoken to Jackson.” She reminded him, it was getting tiring seeing them both moping around the hospital angry and alone because they didn’t have their ‘plastics posse’ partner. 

“You have to talk to him at some point because I’m not doing this forever.”

Hurt Prompts

Fix you right up.  

It was that upbeat sense of positivity and determination that Betty had come searching for from her best friend, and yet deep down she knew there was no amount of hot chocolate that was going to fix her. There was no amount of chocolate, imported from Switzerland or not that would help with what ailed her; there was no real cure or remedy for a broken heart.Betty followed V’s instruction as she drifted automatically into the living area of their Pembrooke suite, grabbing hold of a fur throw blanket as she wrapped it around her shoulders and climbed onto the end of the plush sofa as Veronica disappeared into the kitchen adjoining the dining room. There was a fire blazing in the marble fireplace, the rest of the lights in the apartment dim and Betty spotted a leather-bound volume and signature cat-eye glasses abandoned on a nearby side table. She’d caught the raven-haired princess on a rare night in but instantly she already felt the guilty twisting within her stomach for having interrupted her quiet evening.Betty watched the flames lick at the freshly place log, wondering how often a member of their hired staff appeared like ghosts to attend the fire and keep it going for as long as a Lodge dictated. It was easy to lose herself in a trance like state, allowing her thoughts to ebb and flow at will over trivial things such as the goings on the Lodge family home just so long as they remained miles away for the true nature of her visit.She couldn’t bring herself to even think of his name right now, conjuring even his face to mind hurt too much and every detail was another lash in the death of a thousand cuts: his trademark and most treasured beanie, the single curl of dark hair and how it always seemed to fall in his face when he was bent over his laptop deep in his work. The way he rolled his tongue over his bottom lip when lost in thought, or the twitch of his lips when he was fighting against a full blown smile. There was a rolling wave of nausea in her stomach as she allowed her mind a fleeting glimpse, instantly regretting it as soon as she felt the tightness in the back of her throat, tears welling in her eyes as the flames dance back in the reflection of her glistening eyes. @stormedchaos     (& honorary tag;; @joneshead)
