I had obviously nothing better to do today, so I brought out my Story-Cubes. :)

And that's what came out.

Story-Time!

Auguste is a princess, going to be poisoned by no other then the Regent - His guard Nik gladly noticed that.

The Regent otherwise turned out to be a Gremlin (?) and Auguste is shook! Nik to the rescue, turns out to be Hermes and pick up Auguste - Flying away with him over the forest.

By accident he dropped them both in a Labyrinth.

Meanwhile, Laurent is kidnapping a ship to come and get his Brother back. :)

Day 4 / 100

This is a cop out, but we’re just gonna continue counting from here on out. If I keep up a rolling list of days I missed, I’ll just ebb and flow through this challenge. So yes, this is really Day 6, but we’re writing Day 4. I’m just gonna forgive myself of that, and let this be day 4. A hundred days is a long time... With that said, let’s try a little poetry today. (It’s only been 10 years since I wrote my last one...)

Woohoo! New story cubes. I use these dice A LOT in my language classes. Story telling, extra exercise,... Students love it and people really know what to buy for me as a holiday present.

CSUN STORY CUBE

Around the beginning of May, my wife started working for the Story Cube at Cal State University Northridge. The Story Cube is a soundproof booth and inside the booth you are interviewed by the staff or a friend and filmed and you discuss your experiences at the University. It’s a great way of sharing and preserving your story. The videos of all the stories are kept at CSUN and can be used for research of how students and faculty experienced life in the past. So the booth is set up but the staff needed some ideas on how to bring people into the cube. They thought of passing out flyers and making posters. Then my wife suggest they make a short commercial. When she told me about her idea, I got real excited and the next day i went to her work and filmed a bunch with my camera under the direction of my wife. Then I went home and edited, narrated and added music to complete it. After I posted the commercial, all of CSUN’s social media outlets reposted them and we were so excited that the university took notice in our video. Thank you to CSUN for the support and I hope you like the video.

Story Cube Writing Challenge 2 part b: A fish, a key, and a scale

"Where'd my horoscope books go?" Jennifer looked almost panicked while she searched her room, while her friend and older sister looked on in bemusement. "Maybe it floated away," Jennifer's sister, Aki said wistfully. "Don't joke! Jennifer's been waiting to share with us our horoscopes to figure out what the past year could bring to the new year! Don't you want to see?" Angela wasn't nearly as panicked as Jennifer, but she a little more grounded. Aki sighed in that way of hers. When she was biting her tongue out of the love for her sister. "Alright, alright. I think I saw it in the living room," she said and left and returned with the book in hand. "Okayyyy.... who's first?"  "Me! It's my book!" Jennifer bounced in excitement. "I'm a Pisces." "Hey!" Angela cut in. "I'm a Libra. I come first in the zodiac so shouldn't I go first?" "Noooo! It's my book." "Whoa there, little day!" Aki laughed. "Chill out." She flipped open the book until she stopped on a page. "I'll read for Libra first. It says that's been brewing in your heart is just fear. You should go with your gut instinct and act and it will go your way. If you don't, it might be something you regret down the line. You're smart, beautiful, blah, blah, blah, blahhhh..." Jennifer huffed some hair out of her eyes. "Come on! Be serious. And read it right." Aki rolled her eyes. "I am. Ok. It says good luck is coming your way and you will see yourself in a new position that will secure you financially." Jennifer gasped. "I did just apply to that new Sushi place in town! And maybe I should talk to David..." "David? Your ex?" Angela asked. "Didn't you leave him?"

"Yeah, but... he was talking about going to prom with me and I was worried about getting a dress..." Self-consciously, Jennifer hugged herself. "But... he seemed really sad... I've been thinking about asking him back out, so... I think maybe.... I should go for it." "Totally!" Angela said. "Now do me next." And Aki read for Pisces and, just as with Libra, it seemed to fit Angela perfectly. Angela had been worried about her parents divorce and what would happen with her and her 9 year-old brother; the book had said though times seemed rocky, a good compromise would be reached. After the girls were finished chattering, Aki cleared her throat. "Ladies, I have a confession. I didn't read outloud the horoscopes you told me you were. I for Gemini and Leo. This stuff isn't the best thing to rely planning your life around. It's vague and will apply to nearly anyone. It would have been better if you talked to me." She set the book down and got up from the bean bag she had been sitting in. "I'm going to make us some smoothies and then we can go jogging. Just to show you your big sis is better than crapstrology any day."
