Is anxious but when they're out of their shell, they're very whimsy and full of life
Prefers to walk physically with their legs instead of rolling with their wheels, but is self-conscious about it so they only do it when no one is around (besides Bang <3)
Has heterochromia (that's the only hetero thing about them lol) as a mixture between their mom's green eyes and their dad's blue eyes
Is on the autism spectrum and fidgets a lot
Over-apologizes for everything
LOVES squirrels as they were basically raised like one and has the skills and abilities of one like climbing trees quickly and having survival instincts
Is terrible at pronouncing big/certain words (guys this orange)
Is secretly hiding a antenna underneath their beanie and is very self-conscious about it as its a rare trait among storybots
Never takes off their beanie even when sleeping, except when showering
Feels most connected with Fall/Autumn and with real nature in the outerworld
Scared of dogs since they end up chasing them as if they're a squirrel LMAO
Background:
Widget was born to Irene Clementine, a gentle gardener who died shortly after childbirth due to medical complications. Their well-meaning but distracted father, Allen Kiosk, tried to care for them while working as an inventor. One day, while Allen was absorbed in a project, Widget wandered off, drawn by their natural curiosity, and fell into a transport tube that whisked them away to the outer world. Alone in the woods but unafraid, Widget was wandering around when soon they were found by Julabie, a kind, mystical dragon. She had never seen anyone like them before, so after taking on a large squirrel form, she lovingly raised Widget as her own. Years later, during Widget’s adolescence, Julabie spotted a trio of bots in the woods. Believing this might be Widget’s only chance to reconnect with their kind, she encouraged them to approach while quietly slipping away, wanting the best for Widget. The bots were young Milo and his parents, Morion and Amber, who were out rock scouting. Startled at first, they soon realized Widget was alone and brought them back to the computer world. After being placed in the foster care system, Widget met Cameron, a fellow foster kid who became like an older brother figure. When Widget felt self-conscious about their antenna (a rare trait among storybots) Cameron gave them one of his old pink beanies, which Widget still wears today. A year later, Morion and Amber checked in and after seeing how much Widget missed Milo, since he was the first other storybot they saw in years, officially adopted them. Adapting to modern life was difficult. Without early schooling and raised in the wild, Widget struggled with middle school and felt out of place. Still, they grew closer with Milo and enjoyed a stable, supportive home. During high school Widget worked part-time at a pizza shop as a cook and delivery person, and after a few years after graduating high school, they eventually enrolled in college to find what they really wanted to pursue in life. There, Widget quite literally bumped into Bang. What started as an awkward first meeting turned into a close friendship. They did everything together; hanging out, late-night talks, and having laughs. One night, both questioning their place in society and purpose, they decided to leave college and go on a road trip without telling anyone. That impulsive choice led them to countless experiences across the computer world and somewhere along the way, their long-simmering feelings surfaced. They confessed their love and after the trip, moved into a cozy apartment together. Their quiet domestic life took a sudden turn when Bang accidentally received a job acceptance letter from the Answer Department. Trying to clarify the mistake, he ended up hired on the spot due to a staffing shortage and thus joining Team 341B. Widget, wanting to help with bills, took a job in the Archives Department as a retrieval associate.
I will write and post a fanfic of Widget about their college life and how they met Bang and their whole "how they became best buds and a thing together", I don't know when since grrr writing is hard but I'll of course post it online and make a post about it in the future. ^^

But that's Widget's new character sheet! This post might possibly be tweaked and edited in the future if stuff changes, like the written stuff but I'm just saying that as a precaution in case it ever does.
