These rich brownie bars have the flavors of chocolate stout and maple syrup in them. Great for satisfying your sweet tooth, and the stout gives it a bit of a kick.
Ingredients: 1 cup chocolate stout beer. 1 cup unsalted butter. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 cup brown sugar. 3/4 cup cocoa powder. 1/4 cup maple syrup. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a saucepan, heat chocolate stout and butter until butter is melted. Remove from heat and whisk in sugars, cocoa powder, and maple syrup until well combined. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly pour in the stout mixture, whisking continuously. Fold in flour and salt until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
