I swear I didn't read Slaytober before today. And I learned through a bunch of people posting their art today.

This is in a hypothetical scenario where they got "reset" and their relationship is starting again from zero. But in canon Slay the Princess, Skeptic and Nightmare never met each other, except for MoC. So that relationship that bloomed and blossomed is gone forever, and they could never have it back. Even if their hearts ached for something, they could never come to the conclusion that they once understood each other.
