The Hunger & The Hoarders: On July 3rd of 2010, the body of a 79-year-old retired school teacher was discovered in his home in Albion, Pennsylvania. He shared this home with his bedridden mother, and hundreds of their beloved cats. Investigators uncovered that Herbert Walden had suffered a heart attack. The cats and his mother, both were dependant on his care. Soon the cats got hungry and began munching on Herbert, as his mother watched, and fell victim herself to dehydration. The Salts of Valhalla: Garrett Spear's mother rushed him to Nyack Hospital in Valhalla NY. The 5-year-old boy had been suffering protracted illnesses for years, but within hours of being admitted into the emergency room, he was dead. Toxicology reports found that he had died of a mammoth overdose of salt. Later an inquest discovered that the boy's mother had called a friend to removed a water bottle and feeding tube from her home while she sat vigil over her comatose child. On June 17th of 2014, a county grand jury indicted her for poisoning Garrett with salt to garnish herself sympathy and attention. Pressed Pork with Chicken: On March 2nd of 1990, a construction site worker in Orense, Spain took a siesta with a beloved chicken. He found a secluded spot near pilings of rubble left from the demolition of the building that was previously on the site. He pulled down his pants and started having intercourse with the chicken (as one does?), but his pelvic thrusting caused a nearby bolder to crush both him and the feathered object of his misplaced affections mid-cloitus.
