im not trying to hate or anything im just confused bc queer means weird, strange, odd etc so why would people want to call themselves genderqueer if it literally means strangegender or whatever?
Some of us, dare I say, love being queer. It's meaningful to us, we feel connected to the history, it fits.
Also strangegender sounds fucking badass and it needs a pride flag.
I'm always so impressed by your liveblogging writing updates. What do you use to track your progress? Good luck, you can do the thing!
Thank you! I always hope that they are of interest to others beside myself.
I use Scrivener! Never have I loved a piece of software more deeply. It is astoundingly powerful and I only barely use any of its features, but I would pay full price for it every year, it’s so helpful to be able to see the structure of my papers, and rearrange them, and know what shape the whole thing is in. I can’t imagine writing anything longer than like 5 pages without it.

@strangegender
Thanks! And hopefully you could some other year too!!
