Strange Ranger - “She’s on Fire”

Uh what? This was posted May 2, 2023? It sounds like something from my childhood, like early-mid-90s. It’s a dreamy distortion, with vocals that draw out the sound from each word before moving to the next.

My brain is mush at the moment, but I can name at least one song that this reminds me of: “Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand” by Primitive Radio Gods, from 1996. Stranger Ranger’s song is more lively, of course, but I hope you can hear some of the similarities.

finding emo (2017)

Emo(ish stuff) constitutes perhaps 80% of what I listen to after the sun sets and there were a lot of great releases this year so I’m gonna post some of my faves and hope to get some nice recommendations in rerturn. I’m thirsty and the water’s off, make me cry.
