EXTRAÑOS EN UN TREN (ALFRED HITCHCOCK, 1951) es otra de esas joyas del suspense que nos regaló el genial director, alcanzando cotas de tensión e intriga dignas de sus mejores películas. Cuando Guy (FARLEY GRANGER) coincide con BRUNO ANTHONY (ROBERT WALKER) durante un trayecto en TREN, poco puede sospechar que las TEORIAS sobre el ASESINATO PERFECTO de este siniestro personaje van a ser puestas a prueba. BRUNO le sugiere que intercambien asesinatos, Guy debe matar al padre de Bruno, al que odia sin medida, y Bruno se encargará de liquidar a MIRIAM, la pesadilla de Guy, que no le concede el divorcio para seguir aprovechándose de su fama como tenista y sin el cual no puede iniciar una nueva vida junto a Anne (RUTH ROMAN). Cuando Bruno asesina a sangre fría a Miriam comienza el juego del ratón y el gato, el acoso a Guy para que cumpla su parte, cuando este último solo consideró aquella charla en el tren como algo sin importancia..... Grande Hitchcock, sea cual sea su trabajo. Ok. I just finished reading Two strangers on a train and let me tell you that even though I must admit that the story kept me hooked, a certain main character’s POV was super hard for me to stomach; mostly on account of being from a country riddled with sexism and feminicide. However, it’s easy to see why Hitchcock had to make a motion picture out of it.
