Ahahaha, so my Strangestown I have been setting up? I’ve got a Maxis Match Multi PT mod installed because I got fed up with all aliens being siblings in another game. I made a point of choosing one that used premade aliens, because all the fully custom ones I found just look too pretty. I like the classic alien style for my hybrids!
So I had to terminate and redo Pascal’s pregnancy to make his kid use one of the new PTs and not be unhealthily disconnected. I even got a son this time, in my experience he usually has daughters! I was pleased to name his son Tycho!
Then I checked the family tree, and Tycho’s father is Pollination Technician #9.
Not actually the one living in the hood, mind you. A separate one from the mod.
I’m not sure how I feel about this—it feels like a mess, but I am going with it because I already saved. Obviously, PT9 may have retired but the other technicians still use his genetic material for proper diversity in their hybrid work.
I might go in and flag Tycho as related to PT9, but lol man. The twisted drama this creates. Like dude. Pascal got abducted and gave birth to the son of his brother-in-law.
(I DID make a backup of Strangestown before I did this, but I’m not sure whether that was before or after I set up everybody’s aspirations and made a school. Not redoing all that right now, I just wanted to try playing. Still, custom clean Strangetown are supposed to reduce the chances of accidental incest lol)
