✨Strange Weather in Tokyo by Hiromi Kawakami ✨ I always buy books faster than I can read them, since I work full time, I'm learning a new language, and I have 3 year old daughter to attend to, there is not much time for reading 😔. But this book is one I want to start reading as soon as possible. I've been finding Japanese literature very interesting lately, the way they describe even the simplest thing is so beautiful. Some stories don't even have big plots and still, they keep you interested from the beginning to the very end. ✨This is a story about a 38 year old woman named Tsukiko who works in an office and works alone. One night, she happens to meet one of her former high school teachers, "Sensei", in a local bar. He is thirty years her senior, retired, and presumably a widower. Their relationship develops from a perfunctory acknowledgment of each other to a hesitant intimacy which tilts awkwardly and poignantly into love. I hope this book will help me forget a little bit about my everyday stress while reading it. #books #booklovers #bookstagram #love #romancebooks #romance #japaneseliterature #japaneselit #strangeweatherintokyo #hiromikawakami #tbr #tbrpile https://www.instagram.com/p/CE7zZdYnUcp/?igshid=14mdse8fbpi45
